Several largescale infrastructural projects are either being constructed or being planned in the Greater Aarhus Area right now tackling the increasing amounts of traffic. This thread allows for a brief overview, sharing of news and debate of that particular development. The scope for this thread is restricted to small municipal projects in the City of Aarhus, projects of medium size in the Greater Aarhus Area and large projects of regional interest in East Jutland.

Short description: The Marselis Tunnel Stage 1 involves construction of a new levelled junction at Viby Ringvej and Aarhus Syd motorvejen as seen below. Furthermore three new rail road bridges and a new pedestrian bridge are being constructed at Langenæs to allow for an expansion of Åhavevej to four lanes. Along the southern side of Åhavevej a noise dampening soil rampart with vegetation is also constructed to save the neighbouring allotment houses from traffic noise.

Short description: Since the end of the nineties large sums have been invested in new harbour areas, quays and cranes. The latest were expansion of the container terminal in 2007 and new bulk cranes in 2011. Short description: The current bus terminal was constructed in . It has been discussed for several years now to move the bus terminal closer to Aarhus Central station and in 2011 it was finally decided to move and integrate it as part of Aarhus Central Station making it an even more vital traffic hub for local, regional and inter-city traffic on wheels and rails. City of Aarhus has partnered with the private firm Steen & Strøm, who is helping finance the project in the interest of expanding their shopping mall Bruun's Galleri on top of the new bus terminal.

Short description: The suburban district Gellerup in Brabrand will undergo major redevelopment over the coming years and to facilitate that a new road system will be constructed. The most important characteristic of the new road system is the construction of a new central street going from the shopping mall City Vest in the south to the multicultural Bazar Vest in the north. The pulse of the new urban district will be along that street.
