I saw a similair post on the London forums, thought it was interesting to see what people thought of their city. Simple really what 5 things do you love about Liverpool and what 5 things do you hate about it.

Love.
1. The Maritme history of the city
2. The Architecture both old and the new, with a few omissions (Herberts)
3. The Hidden gems off route from the overly commercial high streets.
4. The Ship and Mitre. Quite Possibly the best pub in town.
5. The Openness of the genuine scouser, not the Scallies or the WAGS

Hate.
1. Chewing gum.
2. Attitude fuelled scallies and self indulgant WAGS
3. Rail Transport both in and out seriously Limestreet, last train out is 11:30pm!
4. Lack of respect to most things in general from a certain age demographic.
5. Stereotype, you need to experience all of Liverpool to make a valid judgement.

Thats mine now share yours.

Love

1. The people of Liverpool;
2. The history and the culture which exists in the city;
3. Buildings (St Georges Hall, Town Hall, Royal Liver Building, etc.);
4. Liverpool One;
5. The efficiency of Merseyrail.

Hate

1. The petty dislike of Liverpool and Liverpudlians in Merseyside (i.e. Southport/ Wirral);
2. The overcrowded Northern Line platform in Central station at the weekend;
3. False stereotypes of Scousers which the rest of the country makes;
4. St John's Precinct;
5. When the five Merseyside boroughs decide to start arguing amongst themselves, and can't work together.

Love:

1] Everyone is up for a laugh and friendly (usually)
2] The fact its a big city
3] Great buildings
4] The madness and fun of the city (clubs open til 8am etc)
5] Liverpool One

Hate:

1] WAG wannabes
2] The I-am-entitled-to-scav-off-the-sosh culture that infects certain people in this city
3] Scallies getting in the news for shooting a 10 year old kid or abusing blacks and gays
4] Stereotypes of this city and its people
5] The fact that the job market in this city is still not good enough after all this time
