On Pchum Ben Day at Pattaya Hill Resort, Pattay, Thailand

After a few days of sightseeing in Bangkok, my family including my Mom, 2 aunts, 3 cousins, 5 nephews, 1 niece, along with other family which is my cousin friends, went to Pattaya and planned to spend 2 night at Pattaya Hill Resort booked for me by my Thai friend.

This hotel is on the hill far from the downtown and the beach, but we still can see the view from the balcony of each room. Rot Tou ( 12 seat car) drove us from the crowded street to the quiet road along the hill. Rot Tou stopped in front of the resort which looked very great at first glance since its atmosphere matched my feeling. Just after off the car, the strong cold wind blew over us. Other felt very happy, smile and laugh, except me and my sister, who looked at each other with the strange feeling even we didn't talk but we knew what we thought were identical.

4 rooms for our 3 families (mine, cousin's, and his friend's) were introduced by cute and nice receptionist. Mine and His friend's rooms were on the same floor, floor 7, while 2 rooms of cousin's one was on floor 14. In the elevator, I became goosebumped but I tried to be normal in front of my mother and niece and nephews. The light stopped at number 7 and we were out. Other family turned left where the room in the middle of other room. For my family, we turned right and walked across several rooms which were so quiet and we could hear the reflected sound from our speech too. My room was at the end of the building and I felt that it was close for long and may be the last available room of this resort. Opening the door to enter the room, I felt so cold at the first step and I looked at my sister, then I could see goosebump on her skin too. However, we didn't talk anything even though we felt the same way (not to scare other). I went straight to the balcony to see the view of sea and trees around this rooms. It was nice that can make me forget about the previous feeling. After bathing and taking rest for a while, we take a small nap. I heard something moved like someone walking outside the room. I stretched my ears to catch what the sound was from. I tiptoed toward the door silently and almost there. Big Shocked! someone was knocking the door! It was my cousin who came to tell us to be ready for lunch, shopping, and dinner at downtown. I felt a bit released.

At night, in the taxi back from downtown to the resort, taxi driver asked us where we were going. We all said together at the same time, "Pattaya Hill Resort" . He acted a bit strange but no one in the car noticed except Me. He added that there was a problem last 2 years there. I asked back what it was (my feeling was real? ) but he turned to change the situation become less concern to all by saying that there was a demonstration from worker to raise salary. After this, he changed topic and talked a lot with us he rarely saw khmer Tourist but only Khmer Workers there, and talked until arriving the resort.

after we were off, he smiled strangely and said "Chok Di" which means good luck to us. In my rooms, there were my sister and niece who didn't go shopping with us. I went up in the lift alone while other still talking downstairs. My feeling was the same. I felt someone standing behind me but I didn't turn back. I walk across the silent path to my room. I felt I heard noise from the hall but I couldn't find its sources. I walked very fast and run after that to rush to the room.

After bathing with strange feeling, I was told that my niece had bad daydreaming. She heard the knocking door and noise but she saw nothing when she opened the door. It made me believe sth I felt might be Real.

I slept on the bed with my nephew. I thought of someone telling me about ghost in hotel.

1. Don't stay at the last available room
2. The room is abnormal (bad smell, cold...)
3. Don't make one bed available which no one sleeps on (if two bed or more)
4. Don't make on pillow available.
5. Don't make other view inside through window, so must close curtain
6. Don't use the flip-flock provided by hotel if we suspect there is ghost. We need to turn one flip-flock upside down in order to make it like Ying and Yang (Black and White) to protect us

after thinking of them, I opened my eyes and rushed to do all what I have thought. While other were closing their eyes, but I was not sure they were asleep yet.

^^ anyway good tips for staying in scary or haunted hotel? I heard my friend told me some more. I don't know if that's truth.
if u feel scare or think that the hotel is haunted you should:
+ before going to your room, you have to knock the door, and step the left leg first.

I have ghost experience when I was very very young around 8 or 9 years old while half awake I saw two human shape apparition sleeping between and I can hear they are making weird noise but I wonder why i dont feel scary at all as I grow up i dont think much about it I still think ghost doesnt exist in this world.

I never forget until today..I'm not dreaming but I sit down on the floor and look at it just about 3 metters away from me, I took about 5 minutes look at him I thought he my brother but I look around all my brother falling in sleep...then that man became bigger and bigger....... in the end I scream untill it disappear...

And my mother getting very sick since one (man ghost) run follow her from the ground floor till 2nd floor.... he got only from knee and above..without foot he just floating behind... he was dead by (accident) his body dropped to the ground from the 5th floor...

Don't worry about ghost!!!They are human being like us before become ghost!!!

so after that you moved from that building, didnt you? for me I also experienced with a floating body. once at my old house, I saw a woman covered with white long dress and long hair floating infront of an abondon room in my old house. she suddenly disappeared when she looked back at me. seem not so scary at that time but after that feel so scare to tell my family.

Because of tiredness, I fall asleep without any dream and never thought of the bad feeling anymore. The next morning, after bathing, I saw my sister's eyes looked very dark and seemed not to sleep last night. I asked her why her eyes became so. She told me that she didn't sleep a bit. She felt strange and not sleepy. The more scared she was, the braver she was. She opens her eyes to see if there was a ghost as she felt or not. She didn't see anything but her 6 sense (she did have it) already told her that the room had ghost already. We didn't tell mother and kids since we didn't want to frighten them. My mother was the most scared of ghost. That day was spent at the beach with family. The other were very happy except me and my sister. We didn't want to tell them about what we felt since we didn't want to destroy their good feeling :D. Until back to the hotel on Taxi, I heard my cousin's nephew, aunt at other room told the same story and he even saw female ghost sitting on the sofa in her room. I was so shocked and told everything to them. Arriving at the resort at around 8PM. Remembering what Taxi driver said strangely yesterday, I decided to ask Receptionist directly if there was something happening in this hotel. She said that it had nothing since she had been working there for nearly 6 months. OMG, just 6 months, so she must not know what was happened long long ago in this resort.

All my family and other members knew what I told and they started to be scared, but pretended not to be :D... however, their action revealed their feeling already such as walking together and went into the lift together. We all were silent during the journey to the room. My mother decided to change the room, but no room available anymore. Then we moved to floor 14 with my aunt. Even it was small, but no choice la :D. Because we suspected that my room had ghost.

We run without looking back from the lift to my aunt room since the scaring noise get closer to our ears. We ddin't know what kind of noise it was, but we assumed that it was from Ghost. Entering room just for a few minutes, my cousin who still was downstairs to talk something with receptionist called me via hotel telephone to meet him for awhile. I admitted that I felt scared so I called my sister and female cousin to go with me together, but they rejected. I persuaded them and at last my sister agreed with a frown. From floor 14 to the receptionist desk seems farther than from Bangkok to Pattaya :(. We discussed nothing besides praying for Buddha to protect us. Bravo! we arrived now...

Going straight to Receptionist, I asked where my cousin was. She acted as if she hadn't known anything. How Strange!!!! I really got a call from my cousin but why no one knew where he was. We looked at each other while we were more sure about it. The sound of cold wind made me turn back and saw my cousin and his friends were outside resort and were giving a pray to Phreah Phumi in front of the Gate of Resort. I looked at the distance and saw his hairs and clothes waved due too the power of wind. Goosebumps again!!!!!...

I couldn't wait anymore so I run fast to him to ask him if he called me or not. Just about to open my mouth to ask, he interrupted and said to me. This resort really had FEMALE GHOST. Her name was Nam Fun, killed last year by her foreign boyfriend in a Room on Floor 4. But She always walked all the rooms in this resort. Last time, one Cambodian family , Malaysian and Asian tourists also saw her. OMG!!!! Outside the resort at night time with cold wind heard REAL GHOST STROY!!! How do you feel? At that time, we wanted to leave that resort but it was too late to find new hotel.

I asked my cousin why he knew about it. In fact, he stayed here to investigate this story and finally he met a Tomboy Guard who had been working there for several years and she told him everything. That guard also looked a bit scaring. She also saw Nam Fun but she didn't scare at all. She said she got used to it. She recommended us to go to Pagoda tomorrow.

After knowing about it, I also prayed Phreah Phumi for us to protect us from that Female Ghost. At night, we could not sleep well altogether because that feeling was attaching with our mind. We all mumbled Dharma, just taught by my aunt. The day after, we went to pray at one pagoda nearby the resort and moved out back to Bangkok.

Then I asked my parrent to change a new house, only year 2002 that house was sold.
That old house is 2nd floor near Thmor Da restaurant...anysways ghost there show me one time only..

what a scary holiday :-( anyway that ghost frighten you and your family, new guest of hotel. but why the security guard said he got used to it. so that ghost may frighten only guest, not hotel staff.

The guard also was sick when first seeing ghost but she went to pagoda to Tveu Bun for Nam Fun. After that the guard won't see Nam Fun anymore ...

So Creepy reading such things o.o
