I came to this site last September and there wasn't much going on back then but the final demolition. It should start in January 2012, if I'n not mistaken that is now.

Blue-style has come with an update, and even though it doesn't really show the actual construction, it does show some equipment used for foundations. This is enough for me to put this one U/C and make this thread.

Nice addition to the area, some people will be happy that this seems to be a glassy or modern residential tower :)

This is the kind of residential towers I want Japan to build.

I have a question, how far or close this skyscraper will be from Nishi shinjuku skyscraper cluster? Will it have any direct impact on the shinjuku skyline?

Let's put it this way. This tower is located at the same distance from Shinjuku station as the towers that are the furthest away from the cluster, just in the other direction.

And between this tower and the Shinjuku station there are only a few towers, it will stand alone if it wasn't for the Laurel Court Shinjuku Tower standing just under 100m tall right next to this project.

Great! I see exactly where the building is located now. Such good location!
It will be perfect if they bring back to life the nishi shinjuku san chome redevelopment plan.

They totally spoiled the thing by changing it to this shitty design. I don't know why they tend to go for such ugly facades.. (How much money that would save them?)! It's an eyesore.

And the previous design looked so cool... Of course it wasn't 100% sure that it would become exactly as the render suggested, but one thing is sure: there's no chance it will become an interesting design now.

And the low-rise beside also looks like a 20-years old design now, such a pity it looked great before.

And it seems there's less grenery...

The 190 m tower will not be alone , they will build a 7 stories tower with it , I hope it will turn better than in the render !

The lack of updates for this tower is not that strange, since it's hard to find a good angle. I was lucky to find an open door to a outside staircase so I could shoot these pictures.
