Your countries motorway protests...

I think one of the reasons why the UK doesn't really have much of an urban motorway network is because of the drama and trouble they cause. In the mid 90s the 'M11 Link Road' was built. Originally part of the Ringways plan, it ran from the East Cross Route to the M11. Most of the route had been cleared in the 60s but Claremont Road was left to the end and had been used as rented housing due to urban blight etc...

Its interesting to see that end though there are a lot of protesters, a lot of the local people just wanted the road built and over and done with and were fed up with the people protesting...
