I always travel by train & ferry (ferry because I'm from Sweden:)) No air travel, I hate flying. My favorite travel destinations Paris & Venice.

Rome. I absolutely fell head over heels in love with this city. Of course I love other cities, and would prefer to live in them, but Rome is a place I'll continue to visit as long as I live. It's superb.

I think the Avenue of the Giants is perhaps the best place I've ever visited, nothing like driving through winding roads among 80m tall redwoods in Northern Cali without seeing another person for sometimes 20 minutes. Absolutely my favorite place on Earth.

I've only been to SE Asia (so far :D) and these are what I liked:

Cultural Sightseeing - Jogjakarta (Indonesia) & Angkor Wat (Cambodia)

Beaches - Boracay (Philippines) & Tioman (Malaysia)

Capital City - Bangkok (Thailand)

Natural Landscape - Cameron Highlands (Malaysia)

There are other notable and popular attractions in the region but these are the places I enjoyed the most.

Wow! Juneau caught me off guard, but doesn't surprise me at all. What's it like? Being in a Fjord, it seems like it'd be amazing!

I'm a sucker for nature, I also think Olympic National Park was one of the best places, here's a pic, how can this not enchant you?

Turkey was splendid

Ive been to a lot of places but the one that really stands out for me is Hong Kong. Amazing to look at both night and day but it also has amazing shopping and the best food and also because it is so dense you can be on a sandy beach within 20 mins or half way up a jungle mountain. Really a staggering amount of variety for such a tiny place and you can reach it all easily and quickly using a truely excellent and very cheap public transportation system. Ive been three times and hope many more times in my life.
