Hi folks,

I wanted you to see some photos of Vilnius that I took before I flew to the US, but forgot to take them with me. Later I'll post some newer ones, or those taken after I arrive ;)

Part 1. June 9th, the last day in Lithuania

Strange thing I saw for the first time (written "And I love you too"), it appeared a job of some group of artists who wrote "I love you" on the other bank of Neris river too. They also planted flowers there ;)

Nice pics. I haven`t been in Vilnius for a long time (about 2 or 3 years) and this brings back some memories.

There was some controversy about the Mindaugas bridge which was built in 2002. According to some, the archs are too massive, don't fith with the view of the castle etc. But now I see that it fits realy well and the archs add some nice touch to the view :)

Pretty funky stuff, some never before views and locations and nice coverage of the "burial".

Didn't know what your parliament building looked like!

Thanks delfin pl, in fact it gets boring to take photos from same angles again and again, but according to the news, soon new 105m tower will be U/C in the place next to Europa Tower so it will be a new "attraction" :)

Finally I've got it!!! It is a sign from God
The more the Mayor is corrupted the more the Cathedral tower is leaning :D

And I wouldn't like to be in Vilnius the day it falls to the ground ;)

Hehe, thanks guys and thanks John for his update :D

I think the belltower isn't leaning so much, it's just a lens distortion ;)

The last set of photos seems to be the most interesting. But overall the objects of your photos were photographed n times (n > 1000 ;)) so it is a bit boring. People will start to think that Vilnius only has business triangle, new city center and the cathedral :).

I like this photo the most: http://img.miestai.net/IMGP5974.JPG

I've been in Vilnius last year. I saw most of the places you put pics of.

Also, they took me somewhere like Trakai (the spelling may be wrong)
There was a lake and a castle.
We had lunch at a restaurant there. A very nice restaurant.

Hi Cardelen,

nice to hear you liked there, btw, does this remind you of Trakai? ;)

Hey, Cardelen, where are you from? :)

I got to visit Vilnius last summer, and John and I walked around all those places Mantaz shows here. I had seen many photos before, so when I arrived Vilnius was already dear and familiar to me. I can't see enough of it! Mantaz' photos show the city just the way I remember it, except there are fewer leaves on the trees, and those that remain have changed color. ;)

Jeffas drove John, singing tram, and me out to Trakai Castle one evening. We sat in a restaurant across from the castle and watched the sun set. That's the evening when John made the above photo.
