You probably all knew about this already, but I'll just make the thread for discussion. He's rumored to run for Governor in 2006.

Senator Charles Schumer was re-elected by a record margin on Election Day, crushing Republican state Assemblyman Howard Mills and Conservative Party candidate Marilyn O’Grady.
New York's junior senator, Hillary Clinton, introduced the landslide winner to cheering supporters at a Midtown Manhattan hotel.
“You know, we were all standing back there just biting our fingernails because Chuck has a tendency to have such close elections,” Clinton said sarcastically.
“When you win by a lot it means that voters from all parts of the state, from every walk of life, and from so many different philosophies and ideologies are putting their faith and trust in you. It is a huge responsibility,” said Schumer. “I am humbled by that faith. Fighting for New York is something I love to do, and I promise you I will keep on doing it.”
While Schumer won by a landslide, he would not clear up speculation about whether he will run for governor in 2006.
“The only thing on my radar screen is being a good senator. I love it,” said Schumer. “[Can I guarantee I will stay on for my full six-year Senate term?] As I’ve said, I’ve learned in my 30 years in politics to never say never, but the only thing on my radar screen is senator.”
State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer is also gearing up for a run in 2006.
“We are Democratic state. We believe in the principles John Kerry and Bill Clinton spoke to, and Chuck Schumer as well,” said Spitzer. “These are principals about opportunity, investment in the opportunity that people should have to succeed if they work hard and they take full advantage of their given opportunity.”
For now, Democrats are relishing their victories and not talking about other races to come.
“New York State did superbly, and when we’re finished tonight and we have a president we will know we’re going to the top of the hill,” said State Democratic Leader Herman “Denny” Farrell.
Even before the results were in, Schumer scheduled a “thank you” tour Wednesday making seven stops throughout New York.
