Correct me if I'm wrong, guys, but the Jefferson and Lake St intersection is quickly changing from an area that was dead and full of parking lots (am I correct about this?) to an intersection bounded on all 4 corners by mid-to-highrise buildings (Jefferson Place, Jefferson Tower, CTA Center) with ground-level commercial space. The NW corner of the intersection is the last parcel, which is being developed now.
All of this--right under the 'L tracks! And very near a CTA station, esp now that there are plans to create a new CTA station where the 'L meets CTA center. Imagine the increased life, pedestrian traffic, streetlife, and improvement this will bring to the area around it. Surely, this will grow into an awesome area in the years to come.
