Construction of the new London offices of the European Medicines Agency has commenced.

The 500,000 sq ft building at 25 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf will deliver offices spread across 20 floors, with completion scheduled for 2014. The agency last year agreed to pre-let 250,000 sq ft of the available space.

In addition, the premises is the final London offices site to be constructed under the original Canary Wharf master plan.

Commenting on the news, Canary Wharf Group's managing director of development John Pagano said: "25 Churchill Place will provide a major boost to the local economy, in terms of jobs and contracts and [retain] yet another world-class organisation in central London."

i think the city is superior in terms of outstanding design ( it is pretty obvious ) but it has a long way to compete with the density and quantity of canary wharf cluster which is quite massive (in real life) :)

great another skyscraper in Canary wharf, imho one of the best cluster in europe with la defense, but for me the best.
