This is right next to the future Yamanote station and redevelopment. You can read about it here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpost.php?p=87229697&postcount=406

The park is not a completely new park, it's an expansion of the current smaller elevated park located between the water treatment plant and the railways.

I was there on my last trip.

It's now a strange park, nobody really lives around there, it was even hard to get into the park. I had to take an elevator, since the regular entrance was closed because of the preparation work for this project. It's good for this park that there will be the development of the railway yard, it's makes it a bit more logical and used by people.

I just realized that the Shibaura Water Center Rec. Project I have on my MORI building calendar map is another redevelopment than this one!

Which means there will probably be some more coming. ...Especially if they build the new station!

I like to hear such news. It's really nice to add greenery whenever there is a new urban development.

I missed the link, thanks. The building looks good, though it probably is a little bit to massive. I like the boxes and the ground level is very inviting. The park is wonderful, they got me ;]

update

This tower only has 1 underground floor, so with this 1st steel beams it means that it will soon be fully above street level.

There was only one building U/C in the picture, the one with the tower crane and that was.

The lesson we can learn from this update is that you should always take a compact camera when shooting updates. Big lenses and fences like this don't go well together, with a small camera you just stick the lens through the fence to have a unobstructed view.

Since the last update was so long ago I stopped at Shinagawa station on route to Yokosuka (to go there for a Berryz Kobo concert) and took these pictures.

The tower is now at ground level.
