The Ozamiz Port is one of the major ports in Mindanao. The port infrastructure consists of 2 RC piers, 2 RC wharves and 2 RORO ramps. The port has a total land area of 21,274 square meters.

Dri sa europe ang pantalan mostly naa sa sulod suba or lake layo sa dagat, mutabok pag mga highway, suong sa tulay, sa open sea nga port gibutangan nila'g seawall unya naay parang gate (bukana) makaagi lng ang barko...

Like sa Iligan kulyada sa amihan, perting balura dha, dugay kaayo makadunggo ang barko, hinayhinay maniubra dili mabangga sa pantalan...

sa tinuod lng, dako biya jud ug project ang Ozamiz Port. kinahanglan pajud na padak-on ang port para sa mga cargo ship kay ang Ozamiz Port is a strategic location ug center sa western mindanao like Davao. mostly sa mga cargoes na gipangexport/import kay gikan sa lanao, northern part of cotabato, bukidnon, zamboanga province ug misamis occidental pero kana kay di makaya sa ozamiz kay gamay ang port maong sa iligan or cagayan nalang i-agi.

i just hope na ang naa untay dako na port maconstruct for cargo sa Ozamiz. ang cargo may importante kay dako ug benefits as to compare with the passenger. :D

Yes sir blue, Lite ug naay usa ka shipping company na magbyahe to Lazi(nalimot ko sa name) na naghold sa Plaridel wala na ang Palacio. One of the buziest passenger port in Mindanao ang Plaridel, kay kada udto almost daghan ug pasahero ug fullybooked especially every May. :lol:

Layo layo pud d i ug lakwon ang pasahero gikan ug padulong sa barko ug sa mga motorcab.
Pareho na jud sa pantalan sa cebu.
Mas Lisod ni kung daghan ka dala nga bagahe :ohno:

Naa pa ang dako nga taripa sa pantalan para sa plete sa mga motorcab ?
Ang ubang pasahero ra ba ky mosugot bisan mahal ang pangayo sa driver.
Mogara samot ang mga driver ani :(

^^ana jud sir blue labi na kung daghan ug dala, dili musugot ang chief officer sa port na magpasulod ug motorcab kay daghan musulod ug limited rasad ang parking area sa sulod. pwede ra cya kung imong tag-iya.

maru sad ang driver kay patawan ug 60-100 ang plete like sa airport sauna. ang purpose kay bug-at ang karga ug layo2x sad ang padulgan..naa say uban bisag gamay rag dala mao ra japun ang plete. :bash::ohno::(

^^ nope master ice, SP was trying to turn around the bay because of space lacking, Sulex Tres was give away the space for SP's docking were she(SanPaolo-SP) would docked. Sulex Tres was docked in Panguil Bay. SP was arrived initially at 4:00pm and finally docked at 6:15pm. she was stayed 2 hours in the bay from her arrival due to lack of space docking. that time, the port was overcrowded. 2GO 1 would also docking left side of the port(if we base on the picture). Filipinas Ozamis was also arrived that time from Iligan. Cagayan Bay 1 was already departed before it happened. It happened on April 23, 2010, Fri (not april 27, sayop ko sa date sir :D). before, Fri in year 2010 was the busiest day in Ozamiz Port where lots of ship and cargoes would docked. :D

OROQUIETA City--Investors now starts pouring in the City of Good Life, as industry in tourism and shipping are now busy processing their business papers to start business.
This happens after the city government created a trade mission headed by the City Economic Enterprise and Development Office and the chairman of the Sangguniang Panlungsod committee on trade commerce and industry.
Late last week, Mayor Jason Paredes Almonte together with his Team One Oroquieta organized the trade mission to invite investors from Cebu City to put up their respective businesses in the city.
Three shipping companies are eager to establish their businesses.
In 2004, two ports were rehabilitated through a memorandum of agreement with the Philippine Ports Authority that the local government will be administering the operations, the Manuel L. Quezon Fish Port and the San Vicente Bajo Port that costs the city government millions just to rehabilitate and ultimately made the two ports operational.
Last week, SP Member Vincent Guantero, who heads the SP Committee on Trade, Commerce and Industry, reported to the city mayor that their mission was successful.
Guantero said the Ocean Fast Ferries Corporation (Ocean Jet) has signified its intention to operate in the city.
The Ocean Jet is now in the process of getting the needed papers with the city government and Marina (Maritime Industry Authority).
Ocean Jet will be pioneering the Oroquieta-Iligan City route of its fast crafts and additionally the company will be fielding their LST Barges to cater cargoes and other products that need sea transport.


The other two shipping companies that signified its interest to put up Ro-ro (Roll-on/roll-off) business in Oroquieta City are the Lite and Roble Shipping Companies. But these two shipping companies need a ramp for their Ro-ro ships.


As this development, Almonte asked the local port authority to fast track the construction of the port's ramps.
Meanwhile, in the tourism industry, Golden Viaje Travel and Tours, owned by Ma. Paz Gendrala will be opening a branch office to cater travel and tours promotion in the city to help promote tourism potential destinations of Misamis Occidental.


Dubbed as "Misamis Occidental Escapades "the travel and tours package will be promoting tourism destination from Ozamis City down to the municipality of Baliangao, Sapang Dalaga, Jimenez, Clarin, Calamba and Oroquieta City.
"Especially with our under construction 1.2 km Zip Line, Oroquieta City may become the next travel hub of Misamis Occidental." Almonte proudly explained to the Mindanao Daily.

When i was in cebu last saturday pauli ko cdo, mga kasabay nako nga naglukat ug ticket is going to ozamiz, grabe kadaghan sa mga pasahero, fullybooked ang mga barko, taas kaayo ang pila

demand kaau ang pasahero sa barko basta peak season labi na tong dili kaapas sa promo fare sa plane. Mostly jud mafullybooked ang barko labi na sa VISMIN area. bisan naa naay plane service ang Ozamiz, still daghan japun musakay ug barko. naa say uban na mahadluk musakay ug plane maong magbarko cla, naanad naman ug sakay. :lol::cheers:

ang Plaridel sad, mugrabe ang passenger demand this summer kay tungod na hapit nasad ang fiesta sa siquijor ug bohol. :cheers:

naa sir blue, 2GO Travel pero usahay kay mainterrrupt ilang payment system sa website. di paman kaau maau ilang website run unlike tong sa superferrry pa. :)

depende sir blue kay ang processing sa fare sa 2GO is same ra sa mga airline. bali mag-usab2x ilang fare. ang kanang mega value ug super value is same rana cla ug fare.

^^ kung wala na juy space ang Ozamiz Port, probably sa Jimenez Port na ang uban sir blue kay kinahanglan ug bigger port ang cargo labi na kadtong magtransport ug 20 footer van or TEU. if this will happened, maglikum ug dakong kwarta ang government ani or naay musponsor na international sector for Jimenez Port Expansion for cargoes. Geographically, ang Ozamiz Port kay pwede pa cya e-expand padung sa Coastal Road para dili matabutan ang Cotta pero murag gamay ra maexpand didto kay mabao man ang dagat. didto mudunggo ang cargo frieght. dili sa ingon na ang tanan cargo ship pa Ozamiz is mubalhin sa Jimenez. there is still cargo ship in Ozamiz even Jimenez Port will already develop. This is only when Ozamiz Port don't have enough space for cargo like in cagayan de oro, still naa japuy cargo ship mudock pero ang uban usually international ship is sa Mindanao International Cargo Terminal mudunggo kay dagko man cla ug TEU capacity. ang Jimenez Port sad kay centro man sa 3 ka syudad sa province so good place pud cya for cargo port.

^^ plus naa pa sa plaridel sangay. i dont know kung daily ba sila by Lite Shipping leaving Plaridel to Cebu via Siquijor/Tagbilaran at 11:30am or 1:00pm. Sunday is the best day to choose when you go back to Cebu para makahabol sa work or sa school like me before. ;)
