View Full Version : Which would you prefer: an apartment with a great view of "E" or an apartment IN "E Icanseeformiles November 7th, 2004, 02:29 AM what are your view priorities? personally I think I would like a great view OF Eureka not one FROM it. idle21 November 7th, 2004, 02:34 AM I would love an apartment really far up either FWP or Prima. From them you would get an amazing view of Eureka, and you could also see all of the CBD. But the real advantage of these places would be your ability to see docklands. The only thing you could see from Eureka that you couldn't see from the others would be the MCG precinct wouldn't it? Either way, I'd prefer a veiw OF Eurkeka rather than FROM it. tayser November 7th, 2004, 02:35 AM of E uewepuep November 7th, 2004, 03:39 AM yup, of e. I would like the top floor of a little 12 story building or something like that with roof outside area. That would be awesome :) Drunkill November 7th, 2004, 04:07 AM I don't know, of E would be awsome, and also in E would be awsome... very hard, i'd like a place near the top of prima, or somthing, so you get veiws of E, CBD, and Docklands. DrDan November 7th, 2004, 05:11 AM I'd take one of the E penthouses any day! What a view! I'd love to be able to look up at Eureka and go: "I live in that tower" SydneyDude November 7th, 2004, 07:04 AM Of E- I reckon an apartment in FWP would be the bestest! Favco750 November 7th, 2004, 08:45 AM Somewhere down the edge of cbd but up high, such as near where eifel is or up near hwt, somewhere that affords the ability to retain views. Down the Eifel end has the river and hwt has the railway lines, both offer similar but neither have bulletproof protection of views. Eifel would of course offer a much better view of eureka but who needs to have the view right in your face to enjoy it. There are some beautiful views of the city of Melbourne from places such as St Kilda Pier, Brighton Baths, Greens Point area, Sandy Yacht club etc etc etc all the way down the bay to Funkytown, there are some beautiful views from Olivers Hill and Mt Eliza, Mornington etc, and even from a friends farm at Red Hill, there is a nice view if you squint. Or otherwise, along with popular belief, one could pro-offer the statement that the best view of Melbourne is in the rear view mirror as you leave, but I wouldn't dare mention that. dynamoultraclean November 7th, 2004, 10:42 AM Maybe QV if that monstrocity BHP-HQ wasn't built there would have the best views. barneybuck November 7th, 2004, 10:44 AM One of the big E penthouses for sure - just imagine living higher than anyone else in Australia! Trances November 7th, 2004, 11:39 AM oh hard one ! How you give up looking up the E would knowing you were inside it be enough ? I could say it I was high up enough and had a good view of the E then that would be fine But ti would much easier to be happy looking out across commanding views of Melbourne from the E sakor1 November 7th, 2004, 12:12 PM I think I'd prefer a high apartment in E... the views of Southbank, the City, Docklands and everywhere else would be unrivalled. Plus I'd love to be able to say I live in the tallest resi tower in the world :D Stu Trances November 7th, 2004, 12:21 PM -to roof invincible November 7th, 2004, 01:36 PM One of the big E penthouses for sure - just imagine living higher than anyone else in Australia! /me imagines himself staying in a ski resort. skiesthelimit November 7th, 2004, 05:32 PM I'd prefer a *PENTHOUSE* ;) in E simply because I love living up high for the views, and it doesn't get any higher than E. Besides, I reckon I would get bored of looking at E all the time anyway. Well that's just me... barneybuck November 8th, 2004, 02:11 AM /me imagines himself staying in a ski resort. Ok I ment in a building not on a mountain :master: redbaron_012 November 12th, 2004, 04:41 AM I would have an apartment in the Eureka one floor above one of the step offs so that the huge balcony could have a pool.......spa........tennis court??? forget the tennis court ...too far to fetch the ball. salamagd November 12th, 2004, 06:53 AM I would have an apartment in the Eureka one floor above one of the step offs so that the huge balcony could have a pool.......spa........tennis court??? forget the tennis court ...too far to fetch the ball. Yeah, there were four apartments (two on the top of each setback) that were marketed complete with just a bit less than half the setback each for their own private balconies (with no roof!). I think the balconies alone worked out to be about 100 square metres each! However, you'd wonder - up that high the wind might sweep you off nicely! I think they still have some of these for sale actually. BraddyBoy November 12th, 2004, 07:26 AM I valued a Lebanese Mansion in on the top of the hill in Endeavour Hills the other day....it HAS a view of E................ from 35km away ...heheheh I'd prefer to live in E or FWP Resi tower. skiesthelimit November 12th, 2004, 07:27 AM You don't get much privacy with those setback balconies though - at any given time you are visible from the 20 - 30 floors above you, depending on which setback it is. BraddyBoy November 12th, 2004, 08:09 AM Notice how they are advertising for lease, dodgy low rise apartments in Eureka? I couldnt live with myself, if I resided in that tower, but was a povo bastard on the bottom levels with a fantastic view of the back of the Esso Building..hehehehe It's also got me stumped how they can settle on the apartments in the bottom of the building WHILST the top floors have yet to be built?!?!? How does that work? pisstake November 12th, 2004, 09:46 AM Apparently as long as your floor is not under construction as well as in the common areas you can get a certificate of residence. They did the same with moving companies into the Rialto but that was a bit different as it was commercial not residential. Tony P November 13th, 2004, 09:35 AM Of E. But there would be a certain cache in pressing the '69' button in the lifts of Eureka... ;) BraddyBoy November 17th, 2004, 01:34 PM or being on the observation deck and 'going down' to 69...... hahah /me isnt sure if that kind of humour is appropriate for this kind of forum ehehehe Icanseeformiles November 17th, 2004, 11:44 PM hehehe Braddyboy. I think this forum needs more humour....sexual inuendo or otherwise. Fine with me. :) turbo165 November 19th, 2004, 03:36 AM [QUOTE=BraddyBoy]or being on the observation deck and 'going down' to 69...... hahah having bought an apartment on 63 and being able to press '63' it is not quite same as going down on '69'(ha) but pretty close so when it happens ill let you all know HardNotToLoveIt September 1st, 2005, 06:00 AM [QUOTE=BraddyBoy]or being on the observation deck and 'going down' to 69...... hahah having bought an apartment on 63 and being able to press '63' it is not quite same as going down on '69'(ha) but pretty close so when it happens ill let you all know Turbo, Do you know when you settle on 63? turbo165 September 1st, 2005, 09:33 AM [QUOTE=turbo165] Turbo, Do you know when you settle on 63? being told late oct early november HardNotToLoveIt September 3rd, 2005, 07:09 AM [QUOTE=HardNotToLoveIt] being told late oct early november Turbo, I've been told "don't expect to be watching the fireworks (from level 67) on New Years Eve". I get the impression we'll be lucky to get in by the C'wealth Games. salamagd September 3rd, 2005, 07:21 AM I've been told "don't expect to be watching the fireworks (from level 67) on New Years Eve". I get the impression we'll be lucky to get in by the C'wealth Games. That sounds about right. I think the main thing that will hold the Sky Rise section apartments up is that they'd have to complete the Lift Lobby entrance and get at least one lift handed over before any apartments in the section could be settled. I'd expect all the Premier Rise apartments to be settled before the end of the year, as I think they're up to about level 48 now - only half a dozen levels to go. There'll probably be quite a delay before they release anything from 56 up, I'd expect. HardNotToLoveIt September 4th, 2005, 12:02 PM Yeah, there's that. And also the fact that all apartments above the plant room on 53 are service by the plant up on 81......and 81 is some time off being fitted out. |
