The new competition stadium, the Mosque, the warming-up stadium and the car park occupy the whole east part.

The south part of this area includes, annexed around the existing sports room, the equipments for women activities.

The training and teaching area in the North-West includes the Sport Hall, the Academy, the swimming-pool, the training stadiums for every sport as well as a relaxation area with a pond at its West extremity .

The South-West area is dedicated to the leisure activities around an architectural complex composed of hotels, cinemas, a bowling, a leisure place, a velodrome.

Various equipments are forecasted for cycling, skating, B.m.x, roller and a health route such are the elements which are structuring a green, undulating and planted landscaped park.

All these equipments are surrounded by a system of roads to be used as access ways, a cycling circuit and training ways for foot race along about 5 km.

The East-West perspective axis, from the competition stadium till the far West will offer a large walking and leisure place.

Being the centre of the project of the general layout plan, the stadium takes again and incorporates the existing tribune and track.
Its extension will increase its capacity up to 45,000 places.

The Sport hall

It constitutes the north element of the triangle formed by the major equipments of the general layout plan. The Sport hall is accessible from the pedestrian plazza on the level +19.00 and from the 1,000 places’ car park.
Under the shells which set free a unique volume without any column are gathered around the athletics track, the basket and hand-ball fields, the judo and the fencing areas.
Each sports ground is equipped with tiers which are accessible to the public from the top.
The bottom, i.e. on the fields level, is occupied by the changing rooms and the materials storage rooms.

The Academy

If you go alongside the triangle towards the outdoor training fields complex, the Academy develops two wings around the housing and meeting building :
One for the teaching rooms, the other one for the catering.
So, the students are in direct connection with the Sport Hall and the outdoor fields.
An access road bordered by car parks is connecting them to the North-South road.

Leisure, show and housing equipments

The South of the triangle is centred around an architectural complex constituted by the hotel which is accessible from the pedestrian plazza on the level +19,00 and the 1,000 places car park on the low level.
Two architectural complexes made of symetric shells shelter the cinemas and the bowling as well as the leisure equipments.

Aspire was built and operates to the highest international standards in terms of facilities, sport sciences, academics and coaches, he said.

Aspire boasts exceptional facilities, including the world's largest covered sports dome, designed by international architect Roger Taillibert, whose work also includes the Parc des Prince Stadium in Paris and the Montreal Olympic Stadium in Canada.

The main structure features lecture halls, science labs, a library, an amphitheatre, dormitories, health facilities and numerous recreational facilities. There are seven outdoor football training fields and an outdoor running track. The sports dome covers a full-scale football pitch, a small football field, a sports arena, an Olympic-sized swimming and diving pool, a gymnastics hall, a sports games hall, a table tennis arena, a contact sports arena, a fencing arena, squash courts, state-of-the-art weight rooms, as well as a physiotherapy / medical centre and sports science laboratory.

ya i saw a whole program about it with interviews with the designer and it's going to be the best in the world. But you know what am afraid off, is that since it's open to ppl from outside qatar, this will be used to naturalize them, and then the qatar's youth's talent won't be nurtured fully.

Acctually it will be, within a couple of years, able to take in 1000 students, 750 students from qatar and 250 from abroad. This will mean there will be enough room for qataris. I really am for naturalizing ppl from other countries to represent qatar. Every country does it, look at france's soccer team, look at america's soccer team, finland or was it norway had a black man running in its track team. Each country does it. Im against bringing someone and paying him a large sum of money to represent qatar in one event. However im all for have a committee that goes around the world and finds youth in their early years who have alot of potential and bringing them to doha to train and develop. If qatar is willing to spend money and years and years into these youth and turning them into world class athletes then they should represent qatar.

One reason why some qatari families dont want their kids to join is because the children in this acadmy start their day at 7:30 am and dont finish till 7:30 pm. And they are only allowed to leave the academy and see thier families on weekends.

hehe u mean wilson kipketer the 800 m world record holder. Well, the problem is now in qatar, naturalization occurs a lot, I mean if you bring youth and look after them until they grow up, why not, but not naturalizing a proven product, if you know what I mean. But besides this, I'd honestly want to be in this academy, besides getting my normal schooling, I get to become a professional which is great, but requires a lot of hard work and dedication.

Well to be honest, even though i was againt sager shahen, or whatever they called the 800m world champion qatar has the right to have him represent us. Because kenya pretty much dumped him a couple of years ago after suffering a serious injury. Theyinvested their efforts in other runners including his brother. Qatar saw this as an opportunity and brough him to qatar and trained him to recovery. Couple of years later he is running for qatar. All he asked was his family be brough to qatar, a house, and 1000 dollars a month. oh! and a stadium be built in kenya !!

As for the education, the education you get is anything but normal. It more like a private school education, most of the teachers are candians and other westerners. There is also alot of extra stuff being taught like self displine classes, and sports pshyc.

I bet entrance will be extremely difficult for this one especially for the 250 foreigners that will come. Any ya i know about saif shaheen, the triplechase world champion and record holder, depends really on the situation. Where it has gone totally wrong is in soccer, I feel sorry for all the good qatari players whom would play for the shirt and give more.

When is this goin to be ready and accept the first batch of students?
