VIENTIANE, 16 March 2012: Celebrating its 15th Anniversary, Lao Plaza Hotel launches a thank you campaign that distributes gift bags to all guests staying at the hotel , 1 April until 30 September.

Lao Plaza’s general manager, Nobuyuki Fukuda, expressed his appreciation for patronage and support that has seen this hotel succeed despite many outside challenges.

“Our success is due to the loyalty and willingness of 250 staff whocontributed the extra effort to serve guests and deliver service to an international standard.”

Most of the staff have joined oversea training and have joined inspections in Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Lao Plaza Hotel opened its door on 24 September 1997.

It has 142 rooms including 20 suites and four restaurants and a bar. For special events and conferences it has seven conference rooms including the Vientiane Grand Ballroom, which can seat 300 guests.

In 2009, Lao National Tourism Administration, under the Prime Minister’s Office, officially recognised the Lao Plaza Hotel-Vientiane as the first-star hotel in Lao PDR. In addition, the hotel has been awarded “The Luxury Hotel of the Year” by Indochina Tourism & Hospitality Alliances in Vietnam for three consecutive years from 2009 to 2011 and the culinary team won several gold and silver medals at Bangkok International Food Awards in the past.
