A 7-star world-class seaside resort on the Caspian coastline in the region of Nardaran and Kurdakhani settlements.

The project will be realized by Crocus International (Russia).

The Ministry of Culture & Tourism recognized it expedient to include the project in the State Tourism Development Programme. The $1 billion two-year project will be funded due to domestic and borrowing finances.

The Nardaran-Kurdakhani resort will be one of the biggest on the Caspian coastline and will stand the pace with world-known resorts of Antalya and Dubai.

The resort to be designed for 8,000-10,000 persons will include Yacht Club, a medical spa centre and other sites.

The Project office reports that the process of inventory of land area acquired for the project is underway.

“Speech is of a large land plot and inventory will take certain time. The construction will begin after it is finished. Most probably, we will begin from construction of a yacht-club,” the Project office said.

In 2009 Agalarov’s tourism project was halted for the purpose of optimization of financial resources.

In early 2009 it was completed construction of breakwaters in the water area of a future modern A class Yacht Club (a part of tourism complex) in Baku.

In parallel, the attracted American specialists were finishing updating of Yacht Club Project.

At present shore protection at a 2-km coastline is ongoing - the shore is being increased in case Caspian Sea level changes.
