Where can a newbie in Milwaukee go to take a good skyline photo - besides the veterans park on the lake? I'm hoping to find somewhere on the west side so I'd be looking east, so the sun can be at my back.

Bruce, I grew up in Milwaukee and I think that the view from the eastern part of downtown looking west is the best shot, just get over to Art Center before the afternoon. The big white building which has changed names so many times, but was called the First Wisconsin building at one time, is probably still the best building to build your photos around.

There aren't too many good views of the skyline from the west side (unless you can get on the roof of Miller Park :lol, good luck with that)
There's a park on North Ave (2300 N) between Holton Street (500 E) and Humblodt Blvd (1100 E). I forgot the name of the park, but it has a kick-ass view of the skyline IMO. This is my favorite view of the skyline.

My memory might be off, but I remeber there was a pretty cool view from one of the bridges off the highway from chicago.
But you know what.. just point and click your camera anywhere. Milwaukee is so photogenic youll have no problems getting good shots.
