The parking lot is still there so if you want to design a supertall for Houston, it's a prime spot.

But really I wish they could just get some infill for all those damn parking lots. Something, anything! It doesnt have to be a massive scarper. Some low rise mixed use would be stellar and affordable. We need more restaurants and shopping to encourage people to want to actually move there.

I agree but it's hard to convince people who've been sitting on those lots awaiting their big money moment to accept less for the sake of reviving chunks of downtown. :/

What happened to this one?

Five Allen Center is still active on Hine's to-do list but they are awaiting a stronger leasing market in downtown Houston before building the 48-50 story tower.
