Yes its very cool. In winter the area around Ceerigaabo reaches freezing temperatures and waterfalls, seasonal lakes/rivers freeze. Hargeisa is also very cool even in the warmest season and because its in a valley its has a contant breeze and the colder wheather is more noticeable at night; taking the plane from Djibouti to Hargeisa is certainly an experience because Djibouti is extremely hot like 39 degrees celcius whilst Hargeisa is around the high teens/low 20's.

Beautiful, diverse landscape...Naga nabadoba an u dalxiis imanee

I think the mountains of Northern Somalia would offer great opportunities for mountain biking. I would love to get a chance to ride some trails - the views would be amazing, to say the least - especially those looking out towards the ocean! Also, looking on Google earth you get a sense that there's waterways running through these mountains - from my research, these seem to be dry and sometimes they form on a seasonal basis. But damn, it would great to do some white-water kayaking there.

Janub where ever you got those pictures keep them coming, and I think the name comes from the cascading falls themselves, as if someone exclaim let the waters fall. or perhaps they were trying to be ironic. because no one look at these majestic falls and automatically thinks about bowl movements.

I would think its to do with the cascading waters joining to form a stream which then empties (poures into) the gully... hence the name Iskushuban.

They should really think of changing that town's name.
