Istanbul is one of the 4 biggest centers of the Beaux Arts and Art Nouveau movements.

A real heaven for the lovers of classical architecture, with more historic buildings (in a rich variety of different styles and epoch) than any other city in the world.

Only Rome can match up with Istanbul in terms of the size of its historic buildings inventory.

i.e. the other capital city of the empire ;)

I was thinking the same thing. Heck, Turkey as a whole is added to the list, for this and for other reasons.

Yep assomigliano. :)
In Vittorio Emmanuele there are nice shops also; in Cicek Pasaji there are mostly restaurants, meyhanes and pubs. And if you compare Cicek Pasaji is smaller but as an architecture they have alot in common.:okay:
Btw. Vittorio Emmanuele with Scala, one of the most beloved architectures of Milano for me.

Is this galery in Milano a shopping center like our Kapalıçarşı (Grandbazaar)?

CityZen

^In Vittorio Emanuele there are shops like Prada, Swarovsky, Borsalino; the level is up. Like Via Monte Napeloene shops (Gucci, louis Vuitton, YSL etc. again..) There are also cafes, Burger King kind of restaurants..

Once upon a time in the milanese gallery there was a Mcdonald's,but now it has been closed and nowadays there's a Prada shop. So,there's no more restaurants, just a nice cafe and highlevel shops,an urban center(where are always exposed the new projects for the city),a multimedial center and the site of italian MTV!!

I've many photos from all over Italy; I even don't have so many from Turkey. I've many of this gallery also. When I have time I wanna add them to Italian forum but nowadays I'm busy with that famous "diritto amministrativo" exam. If I pass it I'll be graduated in settember. :)

Lots of italian cities have this kind of "shopping center",that's located in Naples and it's called galleria Umberto I(another italian king, like Vittorio Emanuele II)!!
