It is just 20 minutes to reach Kýzýlay, Tandoðan or whatever central district you want.

I am living in 3rd expand of the district (Bilkent-3), there are residentals of EMA behind our site under construction.

And good news, TEPE Cons. Company (who built the whole Bilkent) was started Bilkent 4 and Bilkent 5 which will consist of only villas. :cheers:

There are buses from Kýzýlay (Güvenpark) at every 15 min to Bilkent Center. It takes 30-35 min with bus, because it also visits Atatürk Hospital and TSK Rehabilitation Centers just outside the Bilkent. It doesn't enter campus.

There are dolmuþ's (minibuses) from Sýhhiye (passes through AÞTÝ) at every 20 min, it also visits hospital but it enters campus later on.

It's huger. It is just the hospital facility in the previous ones, there are parks, sport centers and residental buildings for the personel.

This pic is just the begining of the previous. (You can still see the Atatürk Hospital) Well Just near the Prime Ministry Twin Towers, and the bridge near it, there will be subway station entries. The shot was taken just before the construction of metro started, you may notice the cleaned area near the bridge.

There will be still buses which will be responsible for the connection between Bilkent residentals and the subway station.

When will the subway construction be complated then?

In city literature this area which Atatürk Hospital is located is called as Lodumlu. But it might be seemed as a part of Bilkent.

And I found some projects about this area again...

Depends. Hardest job will start then, and the most money needing of course, electricial supplies, trains etc. 2 years I guess.

^I don't think so, it belongs to "Turk Silahli Kuvvetleri" mainly used for veterans who got injured during fight with PKK.

Located between the main and east campuses of the Bilkent University, the architectural, interior design and decoration projects of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts building has been done by architects Erkut Þahinbaþ and Ýlhan Kural. The building was constructed during December 9, 1993 - October 15, 1994 by TEPE Construction. The Bilkent Concert Hall and the Bilkent Theater Hall are located within the FMPA building which encompasses a net area of 14.328 m2.

The Bilkent Concert Hall consists of three floors. The acoustic consulting of the concert hall was done by the Finnish architect Matti Heikkinen. With adjustable acoustic panels and stage lift creating an orchestra pit, the hall can also be used for opera productions. With a seating capacity of 800 has two Steinway D (Hamburg) Concert Grand pianos, the Bilkent Concert Hall is also a distinguished recording studio. The opening concert of the Bilkent Concert Hall was given on November 1, 1994 by the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra.

Yes it is. But what makes it special is that, it holds everything what a city needs ;)

Nearly all of those projects are completing each other, forming a small tidy city, with a huge private university, concert halls, high quality cafes, 2 shopping centers, a technology valley, clean industries, and so.. Therefore it has a some sort of "simcity" feeling.

What is the story of 'Golden House'?

^^ It belongs to a businessman called Ali Rıza Bozkurt, he is not living in this house. It is used for some receptions and so.

According to legend, all those gold areas are pure gold and house costed more than 8 million dollars, but nephew of the owner had told that this is not the case, but something called "golden water" was used, but didn't talked about the cost. I guess still too expensive.

Interior is decorated in classical style, there are few Ottoman artifacts. There is also an underground 200 people capacity congress center below the house according to him.

Although I live close to it, I haven't seen the interior yet, but even saw a group of Japanese tourists visiting it. It was going to be a museum but I haven't heard about it later on.

Yes, Çayyolu Line has a station called Bilkent which is located in the enterance of the area, but not at the center. There will be ring buses from subway station to other parts of Bilkent. This is same for all Çayyolu line, there will be central stations and ring buses.

^^ Rüküş olmadan Osmanlı mimarisi yapılabileceğinin en önemli kanıtı. Bütün şatafatına rağmen üstelik. Bence yeri yanlış, daha göz önünde bir yerde çok daha ünlü olurdu ama Bilkent için önemli bir değer bence.

O bir ev mi yoksa kafe falan mı ?

şu bi gerçek yüksek binalar estetik olamaz eski binalar camiler gibi yüksek binalarda estetik deil verimlilik önemli yapılış amacı olarak.

Müze haftasonu dahil her gün sabah saat 8:00-11:00 arası açıkmış. Ücretler: 3 YTL, 0-6 yaş gurubu ile 65 yaşın üzeri ücretsiz, öğrenci 1 YTL.

Her bölümde farklı bir dönemin saray tarzı üzerinde çalışmışlar. İçi çok şaşalı ve yer yer göz yoran cinsten olsa da mimari olarak iyi çalışılmış bir bina olduğu kesin. Osmanlı Mimarisi yapmışlar ama uyduruk bir kopya yapmamışlar, bence bir çok yalı ile yarışır dış mimarisi.
