The funeral parlor right next to it (T. Mapua corner Recto) was demolished a year ago, any word if that lot has started development? It's a huge lot. The last time I drove by, I saw a "for sale" sign. The one across the street from this is currently undergoing construction.

Portions of the project is along avenida, as shown in their site map. Actually even if they dont have that, they can still declare avenida since the main block is just along avenida corner recto.

Dating sinehan ito which was manage by the late congressman of 1st district ng manila by name of Congressman Banzai Nieva..now I think it's a bus station halos katapat ng Victory liner bus company..nice addition of high-rise in the area. Tama, that property is connected with the old Mapua High School building which is in front of Manila Opera House Hotel.

Tama, Philippine Rabbit pala..dun kame sumasakay noon papuntang Baguio..When I was in High school we used to watch in Odeon (letran is just 1 ride away:)). I'm from Manila too particularly Tayuman hehehe..When Mayor Atienza closed the Avenida, medyo lumungkot pero fiesta sa mga girls-for-hire pero mula nung binuksan medyo sumigla na ulet negosyo. I was at Grand Opera house last week for a dinner ganun pa din sa lugar, medyo maiilang ka talaga kung hindi ka sanay sa ganun area, parang hindi nauubusan ng tao.

I remember once, we tried a bar there where "ben Tumbling" of Manila got shot..I think that's Buffalo Bar hahaha..those were in my high school days.

this is correct but this project is marketable for rental purposes for students and for transients. I can't imagine that a high rise building will be built here..I am used to see projects in the chinatown area but not in this one.
