The 333m/1092ft Tokyo Tower (Nikken Sekkei 1958) is a must for every tourist visiting Tokyo. It has 2 observatories at 150m/492ft and 250m/820ft, which offer a fantastic panoramic view of the city. If you’re lucky enough, you can see as far as Mount Fuji (80km/50miles if I remember well) or Chiba city. There are many other tall buildings offering views of Tokyo, but this is the tallest and in case you don’t like Tokyo tower, going up to the its top is the only way to get it out from your Tokyo skyline pictures :D

I like this one. Far far away you can see the Makuhari high-rise complex in Chiba city with 18 towers over 100m.

Tokyo is just crazy, I don't think there is anything like this anywhere else in the world. It's just high rise buildings to the horizon.

Vapour, you're the man.

Good job!Vapour.....
But"The 201m/659ft Izumi Garden Tower by Nikken Sekkei."~there is something wrong about this.
According to the data from Japanese website,it's 216m,not 201m.
Anyway,thanks for your sharing. :)

What's with the bundled tube structure? It looks like a squat green Sears Tower.

^It's not just the structural system. It's the massing. You've got two tubes that go all the way to the top. Three that stop just below them. And two sets of diagionally symmetrical setbacks at two different levels.

Now granted there are only so many ways to articulate a bundled tube structure, but this one looks like it was inspired by Sears. It's not a bad thing per se, but it is not without precedent in Tokyo. After all, what is Tokyo Tower designed after?

BTW It has been said by many people that all box-towers are rip-offs of the Seagram Building in NYC.
