Momo1435 November 30th, 2012, 09:35 AM The tower has been named:
Brillia Ariake City Tower ブリリア有明シティタワー

But still no proper render.
Update
to be fair, the area is in need of much more development before this tower can actually be a City Tower.

Momo , are they preparing the new fish Market's work behind ?
Momo1435 January 1st, 2013, 07:54 PM That's indeed Toyosu, but they are still busy cleaning up the soil contamination so it's not yet the actual preparation work for the new complex. Just the other day it was announced that the cleaning up operation is taking longer then expected and that the move from Tsukiji it's delayed by a year.
skanny January 1st, 2013, 08:25 PM I hope the real works will begin this year , it's exciting to know that this big empty area will be filled by 2014 ! :)
Momo1435 May 5th, 2013, 07:18 PM This tower doesn't get too much attention because it's build in no man's land. But looking at the renders on it's website they are going all out when it come to the design and the landscaping.

ukiyo May 11th, 2013, 08:01 AM Very nice landscaping indeed
Kimiwind1184 May 19th, 2013, 01:12 PM Unfortunately there is no life in there yet. Walking around this area is miserable experience.
But I think it will change in the next few years with all the projects that are going on.
Momo1435 May 20th, 2013, 08:53 AM I think much more should have been going on by now to make it a more attractive location in the next few years.
The surrounding empty spaces have now been reserved for Olympic venues. If Tokyo will get the games they will only be fully completed at the end of this decade. That will be an attractive area during the games, but it remains a question what will happen with the area afterwards. It will take some more years to fully transform it again to turn it into a completely new neighborhood with the sport venues that remain, a park and probably a mall and several new residential towers.
And if Tokyo don't get the games it means that the original plans for the area have been delayed for several years.
Eventually it will get there, but it will take some time.
Kimiwind1184 May 20th, 2013, 06:36 PM Thanks momo. Makes sense.
