يصل طوله الى حوالي 1م
مزود بذيل طويل يستعمله كوسيلة دفاعية بالضافة الى أنياب حادة تمكنه من تمزيق فريسته وهو من آكلات اللحم يصطاد زواحف لاحمة وعاشبة مثل الأفاعي والضب الأخضرفهو حيوان يقضي فترة سباة في الفصول الباردة يسطيع البقاء عدة شهور دون أكل لأحتوائه على أجسام دهنية داخل البطن كما تضهركتل شحمية بمحاذات الكلى يستطيع الورن التهام الضب أوالأفعى أو العقارب دون أن يتأثر بالسم ليس للورن جحر محدد فهو يتنقل في البرية بكل حرية. تستطيع القطط البرية افترسه كما يعتبر الانسان احدى الأعداء لأستعمال جلدة أو المادة الشحمية لأن هناك اعتقاد سائد أن العقارب لا تقترب من مكان به رائحة الورن يعتبر الورن بالمنطقة مهددا بالانقراض لأنه يفتقد حلقة أخرى من السلسلة الغذائية وهي الضب الذي يعتبر غذائه الرئيسي لاستعماله في أدوية تقليدية يعتقد أنها شفاء لأمراض عدة مثل البرد والبريسيلوز

Beni Guil breed is a breed of sheep. This is a major Moroccan breeds included in the National Program of Genetic Improvement. It is in the areas of plateaus of Oriental Tendrara, Bouarfa Figuig and regions and promotes the best of the Oriental poor vegetation.

Beni Guil breed is able to acclimatize in other regions of Morocco, very well adapted to the steppe, is one of the best beef breeds in Morocco .. Considers its workforce to about 2,000,000 or 11.5 head of the national herd sheep. Beni Guil race is not prolific and is characterized by low productivity and moderate growth of her lambs.



DEFINITION OF RACIAL TYPE

Beni Guil breed is medium in size with a white fleece and open. Stomach, head and limbs are bare, brown or light brown. This color extends to behind the horns and the underside of the throat.

The male profile and muzzle are convex. The horns are regular and open spiral. In females, the muzzle is slightly convex, with no horns.

They feed on herbal plants which give their meat a delicious tatse, especially when barbecued like this.

Yes it is a beautiful place, but unfortunately there are no hotels or any touristic infrastructure.

My cousins also told me about the existence of the "Egyptian Cobra" (bouseka), the Mastigure(dab) and the hyena in the Dahra, but personally, I never seen them.
