lol tell me wut u think
Nice Pictures, but wrong thread.
sargeantcm April 9th, 2006, 09:15 PM Pretty good shots, I have a few preferences among them.
It's hard for me to pick a clear-cut winner on the basis of density. Houston, Atlanta, and Charlotte come to mind; they have their moments, but they also have angles that make them look rather sparse (except maybe Charlotte).
Though not southeastern, I think the best photos on here were the ones twincities03 posted of Minneapolis and Denver.
Memphis probably has the best mix of old and new of the bunch, I really like that.
I like the CCB/Suntrust Bldg in Durham. To bad they don't build'em like that anymore. Individual buildings I don't think I like are the Wachovia Center in Raleigh (I just don't like that architectural style), and the Wachovia Center in Winston-Salem (the domed top just looks, I dunno, weird).
I'm surprised with all the off-topic cities, nobody has posted Toronto. Some incredibly dense views from across Lake Ontario.
Everybody likes Buffalo.
OK, that's the overstatement of the century lol.
I've noticed similarities between Memphis and Buffalo, as someone mentioned a while back. Also the aerial of Baltimore posted by jaysonjaz.
I've also noticed that from a distance, OKC looks alot like Rochester, NY from some angles.
NaptownBoy April 9th, 2006, 10:53 PM How about we all just post some pics from each locale or better yet, start a similar thread in the Midwest forum?

Well, Brickell Citicentre is already under construction, and Miami World Center behind the Biscayne Wall is contingent upon Las Vegas Sands and the casino bill. We'll see what happens.

QuantumX January 26th, 2012, 01:09 AM ^^Oh, yes! I really like that one! It would be kind of hard to tell it was Houston from that angle if you didn't already know.

QuantumX January 29th, 2012, 11:37 PM That's actually one of mine!^^ I think this one I took earlier this month is a pretty dense angle with the number of buildings I was able to get into one frame.

I thought it might be so I made sure to link it in case you want to track its use. With Miami Beach's skyline in the distance, things are starting to look a bit Hong Kong down there! :D

That is actually the Sunny Isles Beach skyline in the distance, Florida's second largest skyline and still growing. I wish we could count that as part of the Miami tally of buildings, but no way would they ever consolidate with Miami just as Miami Beach never would, with both beach towns having buildings over 500 feet tall. Just north of there to the left, you can see a building over 500 feet tall in Hallandale Beach. That is actually the tallest building in Broward County.
ariesjow February 11th, 2012, 09:12 PM Here's one of downtown Nashville and Music Row from Vanderbilt that I just came across. This one looks at least a few years old since Rhythm is under construction and doesn't really scratch the surface of the Midtown/West End density, but this is a rarely seen angle.
