My father knew the entire speech (kavidhai) and would recite it. Listening to him, I had memorised it myself when my age was in single digit. :)

I listened to this speech now and I saw the ending was missing.

It goes something like this:

em anna, idhaya manna
padaik anja thambi undenru pagarndhaye,

The above lines are not from Kamban but only Karunanidhi but I remembered them for so many years. They stayed in my heart and mind since my childhood.

What is more, my father used to recite these lines in Karunanidhi's voice and you guessed, I learned to do the same.
It was 16 pages of text.

That was the time I had opened by eyes to the world around me. I was impressed by father's speech which was a verbatim copy of Karunanidhi's and even the voice copying him.

I think I had a good memory and I memorised the full speech myself. I don't recall the entire speech now but definitely the last part which was more impressive than the rest.
