Lattitude's Logo Lights are on!!! I've just spotted the west-facing Ernst & Young Logo glowing pure white.
I'll investigate further whether the southern and northern logos are on too.
Looks very crisp and bright.

The smaller western facing one is definitely ablaze. Just like Energy oz's really.
The southern one yet to be switched on - that will be the main one, affecting the skyline @ night.
I would be surprised if they switch the northern top lights on, due to W.T.'s residents. Unless they just give them mood lighting.
The entrances to E & Y on George are starting to look big, corporate and spiffy!!

^^ Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how they tackle it. The south facing illumination is a sure thing, but the north facing....
The western illumination was still on @ 5.30AM earlier, along with all of the western side's office lights. Looked great!
The next "lot" we have to look forward to are The Hilton's blue illuminations. :)

I was driving down Cleavland St last night and I had a good view of the southern Ernst & Young logo. Only the left hand side of the logo was showing, the right hand side of the logo was not illuminated. Anyone notice this? It was about 8:15pm at the time...

I noticed it too fro last night as I was on the bus @ the top of George St near Central Square. They must be still wiring it all up and doing tests.
I haven't seen the smaller western lit up again (and I check outside my door every night), since 2 Friday nights/Saturday mornings ago.

Ok so I broke the news about the Latitude Logo, so I guess I have to dirty work of photoghraphing it.
All pics were taken this evening from the roof of the Broadway Shopping Center. While shooting a security guard politely pointed out that pictures can only be taken from this vantage point after you have asked center management for permission. Let me let complete my "photo assignment" this time though. :)
The logo itself was difficult to photograph because it's so bright compared to the surroundings. I had to experiment with different ISO, exposure, exposure compension and aperature settings. In one shot I took a real short exposure and have cropped the logo. You'll notice that only the logo and word "Ernst" are illuminated.
One of the most striking things however is how much of an impact (and statement) the full-height glass encased stairway makes at night. It's a real defining feature of Latitude's impact on the night skyline.
I'll have to go back with my SLR and 300mm lense to get a sharper image. However, if someone will give me couple of $grand I'll gladly do the job with a DSLR :runaway:
Enjoy the pics.

Bugger, should have taken the pics this evening instead. Regardless, the logos themselves are huge and very bright - they have a real impact on the southern skyline.
I take your point regardling the Citigroup logo.

Thanks all.
That stairwell is 190m of continuous vertical light - must be a very unique feature. It is a world-beater?

Thanks Gazmo for the pics! They came up pretty good. I like the way in which the stairwell lights up, thats a good idea making use of lights that would always be on anyway but are usually hidden away on the inside. :)
