credit rating is very good bec of resources. vs credit rating of xavier. obvious that xavier could not afford to embark on that scale. the most current buildings of xavier are like ateneos, that were constructed several years ago. and still looks more modern than the new xavier.

its not 11F. 11F functional floors, 2 floors mechanical. Check the render again. Meron nakasulat na mechanical room. Kasama pa rin yan sa floor count mga goys.

The term "floor" is used only to define certain elevations of a structure that is used for habitation or any activity performed by various users. while a "level" covers all elevations of the structure including the basement, roof tops, mechanical floor, water tank level so on and so forth. so the number of floors does not reflect the true height of a structure, it only gives you an idea of how many habitable floors a certain bldg has. so in this case, the project is an 11 storey structure having 14 levels excluding basements if there are. also a mezzanine is part of the ground floor. i hope this clears out everything and would be used for future references. BTW, im not making this up ok. This is really how it is and how it should be.

The billion peso project is being constructed hand-in-hand with the 8F sports center right beside it. As of now, they are doing foundation works for both projects with pile driving in the evenings so as not to disrupt classes.

Groundbreaking of the Ateneo Community Center

Davao City, Philippines (6 October 2012) -- Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU), one of the city's largest Catholic schools, formally started construction of its 10-storey community center and 7-storey multipurpose hall and assembly building this morning.


Highlights of the blessing led by Fr. Archimedes A. Lachica, SJ included the ceremonial shoveling of dirt and lowering of a time capsule led by University President Fr. Joel E. Tabora, SJ.

On hand for the groundbreaking were Councilor Angela Librado-Yap (representing Vice Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte); Mr. Benjamin A. Lizada, Vice Chair of the ADDU Board of Trustees; Dr. Raul C. Alvarez, Jr., Acting Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) XI; Fr. Antonio S. Samson, SJ, President of Federation of Accrediting Association of the Philippines (FAAP); Fr. Danny Montaña, RCJ, DACS-CEAP XI President.

Also present were Engr. Rolando R. Amparo of HR Construction; Arch. Christopher Ong; Ms. Maureen Villamor, President of the AdDU Student Council; Dr. Robert Bandolon, President of the Ateneo Alumni Association; and Dr. Caesar Billones and Ms. Vilma de la Cruz, representatives from the ADDU faculty and nonteaching staff.

The 10-story Community Center will be the city's tallest educational tower. The Multipurpose Hall and Assembly Building will be the biggest student service center so far at seven stories. "The Php 800-million project will benefit not only the college students but also the whole University community," Tabora said.

The Ateneo Community Center features a plaza on the first and second floors, which will include a study complex for students and lounges, student organization offices and conference rooms. Spaces on the upper floors will be allocated for faculty, researchers, outreach institutes and centers. The ninth floor will be dedicated to the University’s guests. The tenth floor will be the residence of the local Jesuit community. The Community Center will have a rainwater collection system and an array of solar panels that will power the Center’s lighting system.

The Multipurpose Hall will house a 350-car parking facility, four basketball courts that double as an assembly hall for around 3,500 people, a theater stage, a jogging track, a gym, swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts, and other sports facilities.

Construction will take approximately two years.

sana pweding hingin yung video presentation ng architect.. i was there when it was presented to the community... it was so jaw dropping... things i like are the theater-like na look ng chapel( i dunno ano tawag dun) plus the spot above the stage ng gym.. im not sure but i think sa 6th or 7th floor un,,, overlooking samal facade kasi... pwedi daw magcoffee and magmuni-muni dun... :))
