Broadbeach has 45 skyscrapers!!

the broadbeach list is now at 45!
The 13storey "Breakers" way back in 1975 was the first skyscraper!
Developers thought the southern suburb was too isolated and it took until 1980's to develope.
Ironic back in 1956, Broadbeach was the location of the coasts first highrise -Lennons!!!
Broadbeach is heading for great times. many new fantastic skyscrapers headed there way in 2005.
WAVE, Ultra,Air, Crystal towers,verve.MERITON have twin 40storeys towers in pipeline also!

I think there's a list of the entire Gold Coast, and then separate lists for suburbs.

But I've figured out where Lennons was. It's Surf Parade on the side towards the bush. Now days, there is the Phonecian on the other side of the road. Aria was built in the top-left corner of that block and the Wave is on the opposite corner. There's now a park to the right of the picture, and the HI-LO motel is at the beach end. Broadbeach mall is a block to the left. Broadbeach on the Park is towards the bush, and then there's Jupiters further out.

Gold coast is under one city, just like Sydney or melb0ourne. when a buidling is listed on ss.com you can put the suburb its located in. GC has Broadbeach, surfers, mainbeach, southport ect ect..
