Notes Will be new tallest in Manchester breaking the 44 year old CIS Tower’s record, and UK's tallest outside London. Will have UK's highest living space.
Made public on July 4th 2003 and approved by late October the same year. By time of approval 206/219 apartments had been sold. Top floor penthouse sold for record £3.5 Million to the architect, Ian Simpson.
A 12 story office tower will be built next to the main tower. Began construction in February 2004, completion is due August 2006.

A solar panel reclad of the cities current tallest. The original façade consisted of millions of tiny mosaic pieces, which soon began falling off, the façade is in a bit of a messy state at the moment. Riverdale Estate/Lakeside, Blackley
The Riverdale Estate was built in Blackley in the 1960s and had 7 12 story tower blocks.
Over the years the blocks have become abandoned and run down, as well as a crime hotspot. One block was demolished a few years ago.
LPC (Legendary Property Company) recently bought the estate for £24 Million and have planning permission to do a complete refurbishment of the estate. Bracknell and Riverdale Courts will be demolished and Blackley, Wilton, Heaton and Ahsenhurst Courts will be structurally strengthened and refurbished. They will be linked by 30 3 story townhouse blocks. Work has begun

Made public on July 4th 2003 and approved by late October the same year. By time of approval 206/219 apartments had been sold. Top floor penthouse sold for record £3.5 Million to the architect, Ian Simpson.
A 12 story office tower will be built next to the main tower. Began construction in February 2004, completion is due August 2006.

A solar panel reclad of the cities current tallest. The original façade consisted of millions of tiny mosaic pieces, which soon began falling off, the façade is in a bit of a messy state at the moment. The reclad will be done from late 2004-late 2005 and will provide enough power each year for 50 homes, or 9 million cups of tea. Work started in December 2004/

Riverdale Estate/Lakeside, Blackley
The Riverdale Estate was built in Blackley in the 1960s and had 7 12 story tower blocks.
Over the years the blocks have become abandoned and run down, as well as a crime hotspot. One block was demolished a few years ago.
LPC (Legendary Property Company) recently bought the estate for £24 Million and have planning permission to do a complete refurbishment of the estate. Bracknell and Riverdale Courts will be demolished and Blackley, Wilton, Heaton and Ahsenhurst Courts will be structurally strengthened and refurbished. They will be linked by 30 3 story townhouse blocks. Work has begun

The Pinnacle
Reclad of 9 storey 1960s office block, Norwich Union House on King Street. The £4 Million redevelopment is being done by Russells Construction for developers Property Alliance Group. 2 floors will be added, and the floorplates are being extended for existing floors. Due to finish early 2005 and will contain 2,558 sq m (27,542 sq ft) of office space.

Continuing redevelopment of run down wasteland in East Manchester. Sports facilities include the City of Manchester stadium, the Manchester Velodrome and a 6,000 seat arena with running track.
A £260 Million casino and leisure complex is planned, the proposed scheme would total 80,825sqm. 6,455sqm would be used as a casino, plus a hotel, arena, ice rink and swimming pool.

Salford Redevelopment
Redevelopment of run down Salford neighbourhoods including Ordsall, Broughton, Langworthy, Kersal, Claremont and Weaste and Seedley. Over the next 20 years these areas will benefit from new, affordable homes as well as leisure facilities, parks and light industry. An international competition is being held to create a world class consortium of town planners and architects for the scheme. Shortlisting took place on July 27th. Venture Xtreme
£60 Million adventure sports centre due to open in 2006. Will be built on a 10 acre site ''on the edge of Manchester''. The adventure centre would be accompanied by bars, resturaunts and a hotel.
