View Full Version : New Nice Tower In Afganistan pakboy November 22nd, 2004, 07:24 AM http://gim.gupshup.org/gal/H/516545_afghan105512_2639576.JPG SUNNI November 24th, 2004, 01:05 PM is this the only new building in that area? ViMo November 25th, 2004, 02:08 PM http://gim.gupshup.org/gal/H/516545_afghan105512_2639576.JPG I know India has donated 6 airbuses to the afghans, and build their hospitals. But never knew our country was helping the Afghans with building commercial real estate for them  skynet126 November 25th, 2004, 06:59 PM I think so, for now, since afganistan just started building it economy from the ground. Cliff November 29th, 2004, 08:39 AM Hey, that looks nice! Sultan November 29th, 2004, 08:50 PM ViMo, Pakistan is investing $1bn in Afghanistan, major Pakistani banks are opening up there. Grants have been given to Afghanistan, and a lot of trucks and busses, and even there new airport is being built by NESPAK ! So basically, its not just "India" doing everything ! So lets give credit where its due! :D Pakboy, That building could be the NBP, that has opened up its branches in Afghanistan, and has become the first foreign bank there. Sultan November 29th, 2004, 09:10 PM and by the way, This is the Building located in an area called "Char Rahi-e-Haji Yaqoob", in Shahr-e-Naw, That place is like the Heart of Kabul, the Downtown! Habib Bank of Pakistan is just opposite to this building! :D zuhahmed November 30th, 2004, 12:12 AM nice building, hopefully it wont be bombed kshatriya November 30th, 2004, 06:09 AM So basically, its not just "India" doing everything ! huh? what was said in this thread that meant anything like "only India doing everything"?? :? He's only saying he;s happy that India is helping out there so much....It's all well and good that Pakistan is also helping out, but what's with you? Sultan November 30th, 2004, 08:41 AM Yaar Kshatriya, Don't get me wrong buddy, the way he said it, it kinda meant that India was doing anything.. maybe I misunderstood :bleh: kshatriya November 30th, 2004, 08:59 AM :cheers1: ViMo November 30th, 2004, 12:25 PM Don't bother! Here lies a deleted msg. :) ViMo November 30th, 2004, 12:39 PM ViMo, Pakistan is investing $1bn in Afghanistan, major Pakistani banks are opening up there. Grants have been given to Afghanistan, and a lot of trucks and busses, and even there new airport is being built by NESPAK ! So basically, its not just "India" doing everything ! So lets give credit where its due! :D Sultan If Pakistan had really invested that much money, it would have been publicised and splashed allover. Infact, Pakistani's are not publicity shy! I am only hearing this from your mouth that Pak is investing USD 1 billion in Afghanistan. You know 1 billion for a country like Afghanistan - where nothing exists, and cannot exist - is a lot. Since you know the numbers, do tell us what they are being used for? I for one find it hard to believe your claim, because the current Afghanistan regime is politically not "cozy" with your country. Then again you write that major Pakistani Banks are opening branches in Afghanistan and so on.... As of now, Afghanistan is completely dependent on US AID....in this respect, Pakistani banks are just facilitating transactions. Doesn't mean that anything economically important is happening... You say NESPAK is building an International Airport with Pakistani money!!!! Do correct that to NESPAK building an International Airport in Afghanistan with US money. It's the US who's funding all these projects, but getting them executed by Pakistani companies, since they are the closest possible suppliers of these kind of services. Let's get one thing straight: US will never allow Pakistan to Build something as strategically important as an Airport, in Afghanistan If you can prove it to the contrary with written evidence from an International news source, I will still be very surprised, but will believe you! I hate it when people create news, which is known only to them! Just avoid putting yourself in a spot of bother, when you know people can search for info on the NET. I did just that, and that's why I am replying to you in a very disappointed tone. Infact while I was searching for the info repeatedly, the search engine got so sick of me...that it threw back the query in my face saying: WTF are you looking for?! Pakistan giving AID to Afghanistan in US presence?!! Pakistan itself is surviving because of US AID!!! - I couldn't argue with this logic, so I had to shut up!;) Next time plz don't put us all in a spot of bother. We don't like to be insulted by search engines this badly. :) Sultan November 30th, 2004, 07:24 PM ViMo, Pakistan is going to invest, it hasn't invested yet, plus, as the Intl community pledged AID to Afghanistan, Pakistan had to do so too, so we gave them AID, we gave them a lot more too, NESPAK is currently in-charge of major projects in Afghanistan :) I never said NESPAK was building the Afghani airport with Pakistani money, you might have read it wrong, the whole paragraph talks about the developments in Afghanistan, eg. AID and other development projects. So basically, what I meant was that NESPAK was helping the Afghanis get a new airport, be that US money or Afghani money, its earning us something, and we are trying to help build a properous Afghanistan. Gendo December 25th, 2004, 01:56 AM As torn up as Kabul has become from decades of war its good to see some development taking place. It should have been a bit taller, but I like the design of that building. Its a start. pakboy December 25th, 2004, 02:03 AM i read that pakistan is making 6 dams and a few power stations for afganistan, gona give them to afgan for free :) centralized pandemonium December 25th, 2004, 02:15 AM The tower looks decent.
