A red-hot destination, Tampa Bay is a vibrant waterfront area on Florida's beautiful West Coast and offers a unique blend of urban excitement set in a natural surrounding. From the distinct Latin roots of Tampa's historic Ybor (E-bore) City to the Greek history of Tarpon Springs; from the thrills of Busch Gardens to the culture of the museums, visitors have plenty of genuine, exciting attractions and communities to explore.

This central Florida location offers easy access to the rest of the state. With Tampa as your primary destination, you can easily reach other cities for day-trips and planned excursions. Clearwater and St. Petersburg are a short 23 miles to the west, Sarasota is 61 miles southwest, and Orlando is 82 miles to the east.

The pictures of Tampa really look awesome. I am not really a fan of some of the pictures in this subforum, but these are awesome. The streets look more upbeat and not as depressing as other pics. My favorites have to be the picture with the streetcar with the Hooters restaurant and the 6th photo from the bottom. That pic looks like a nice colorful neighborhood. Great pictures streetscapeer.

Wow. Great pics. I really like that bridge, and I love the Tampa skyline. I really enjoyed Clearwater Beach when I visited years ago. That shot with the white church in the foreground and the blazing fire sky behind is awesome.

Out-freakin-standing. Best set of Tampa/St. Pete pics I've seen. Lots of changes too to some of the areas I've visted in the past, like downtown St. Petersburg and Ybor City.

A few of those shots are really good. The rest do a good job of showing off some of the city. Great shots.

Pinellis county( St. Pete) is considering a monorail to alleiviate congestion but they seem to be dragging their feet. I have looked over the concept and it would be so good for the pininsula. Does anyone know what is happening with it?

Why did they move this thread from the Southern forum? There's already an identical photo thread here.

Florida stuff doesn't go in the SE forum, it goes in this forum. The other place a thread is allowed to be double posted, would be out in the proper World forum, not another regional.
