Heya! Days? You mean weeks :) Alternatively as long as you can, but it also comes down on what you want to do. It's possible to make a quick but exhausting day trip to see the biggest attractions (castle, parliament, basilica, heroes square, danube, andrássy avenue), to make it comfortable you would need 3 days. This is only the mainstream part. Getting to know the parts where the locals enjoy their time would take more days. Tell us what you like and maybe we can help a bit more.

Hi :) and thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
I would be interested in the main attractions of course and just walking around I guess. I am not interested in the nightlife, lol. And i have up to 7 days.
One thing Iremember from my 1st trip is that a parliament guard let me the visit the parliament with a group even though I wasn't part of it and didnt have a ticket. Maybe he felt sorry for me because I seemed a little lost or confused. Anyway like I said I liked the city a lot.

If you have 7 days then just get lost in the 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th districts. Don't miss Margaret Island, the Városliget and either (or both) Széchenyi bath or Rudas. Easiest is to stay at a hostel and there they will give you a map and detailed info, plus you can join other people if you will be lonely again. :)
