Jeddah, Saudi Arabia ~82 pics~
Here are humble pictures of The Pride of the Red Sea Jeddah. ~82 pictures~

The second largest city of Saudi and the entrants door to Makkah and
Medina. About half an hour driving to The Holy city of Makkah. And as a
fact you can see mountains of Makkah while being in Jeddah.

All pictures been gathered from different locations on the Internet.
(Thank you HiJazzy for the help)

Not the most beautiful but I love it.

Jeddah in Arabic means grandmother. This is why it is called Jeddah.

Jeddah is beautiful, well as for grandmother, depends on how you pronounce the word written in arabic. Unfortunately, most of the pics you posted are red x's, but thanks for the effort. I especially love this pic, great mosque location:

Oh ya, is this pic for real? Where did that huge building come from?

Hello Bahraini Spirit,
Yes I know the site where I upload the photos require specific numbers of people to view them. They sent me an email telling me they will fix it by tomorrow (I think it supposed to be fixed now!)

Well this building is old and used to be called Al Mukhtar. Used to have a BIG red dome. (You should see it at night! Looks impressive).
Now it changed to City Plaza where they sell home furniture and stuff like that.
Here are some more pictures from the inside:

ya only been there once and it was in 1997 when i did "al omra". I like that place and hopefully i'll go back there sometime. Thanks for clarifying that pic, cause you know i haven't seen this building when i was there, probably didn't notice it. But it's cool, roman style in the heart of an arabic city.

Zuhahmed As I said it is your second home this is why you love Jeddah.

Bahraini Spirit I hope your Umrah went well (Taqabal Allah).
(City Plaza) located at Prince Sultan street. Near Khaled Ibn Al Waleed Square. (I think they are trying to make it similar to Al Tahliya Street)

The drowing inside is amazing. I posted an old drowing of teh dome but now they are more colorful.

Salam Majed (you are red from SSP, right? ),

Nice compilation of pics you got there. Haven't left much room for me to add anything :D .

As for City Plaza (aka alMokhtar), it was built in the eighties or early nineties, but they ran out of money whilst in construction, and so it remained unfinished for many years. The only bit finished was an alMokhtar supermarket in the corner of the building. And now, the banks that have reposessed it have turned it into a cheap hypermarket.

Khalid bin Waleed square. Where is that? I know the junction between Prince Sultan street and Hera' is called history square. I might be wrong.

Zuhahmed,

I'm glad you like it :) . It is quite green by Saudi standards, but unfortunately Jeddah lacks a big public park. They talked about turning the old airport area into a giant park, but instead they just subdivided it and gave it to property developers. Missed opportunity :(

Bahraini Spirit,

Taqabbal allah. 7 years is a long time, you should come again.

Ismallah 3aliiiik yakhooyaa! Ewa ana Red. Ish hada!! Do you like my name? I wanted to call my self (Barakat Zmzm) but I thought I may get insulted one day and I don’t want people to insult Zmzm.

Yes I know I posted (kol illi 7elati) :D. 3wadt al sana kollaha fi lilah wo youm.

Brdo al 7’awajat maho 3ajbhom al 3ajab! What do you recommend?

I remember we used to buy (Qashtah or as they say here Danish Cream) from Al Mukhtar so we can mix it with dates in Ramadan. Very good memories.

About Khalid Ibn Al Waleeds square, it doesn’t look anything like him! (km toobah 3ala km zar3ah 3ala 7’ashab) wo samoh Khaled ibn Al Waleed! Well don’t ground on me I am not the owner of this square.

You can try fasting in Rajab ;)

Qishtah with dates! Never tried that. Always used to eat it with honey. Nothing more delicious than a honey and qishtah sandwich :eat: .

Anyway, my brain is a bit hay wired right now after the amazing comeback by Itti.
