I noticed that on most flights to and from Tokyo the routing of the plane is not over land until the end of the flight, but on this flight the route went right over the densest and probably busiest parts of Japan, in terms of the amount of planes in the air. Right over Nagoya and then Osaka!

Yup, any international flights over the city of Tokyo are strictly forbidden by the law, but anyway among all, on the flights to Shanghai from Tokyo you can soak up the splendid scenery day and night!! They fly right over Yokohama, Mt.Fuji, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, Hirosima, and Nagasaki !!
