Built by ze Germans in the late 19th century, used to be called "Kaiserpalast" (Imperial Palace) until the French reconquered Alsace.

Lots of people like this building even they thought & think than it is not very beautiful .There was a projects in the 60's believe I not, to destroy the Palais du Rhin. Now It's the offices of Central Commission for Navigation on the Rhine.
The plaza in front of is called Place de la République.
