:eek: What a monster. I wonder how much regulation Dubai has for such tall towers. The towers announced the last few weeks are in a different league than the current towers (almost 50% taller than most other residentials, except Burj Dubai).

great work SA Boy! I know everyone's excited about these developments just as i am but honestly who wasnt disappointed with the designs of all these DM supertalls like this one and Ameera Tower. Aside from the crowns (which are actually getting very repetitive) there seems to be no creativity in these towers at all. I think its better for the designers if they save the few days (maybe hours even) they spent designing the exteriors of these dull buildings and left them plain glass and concrete without the unnecessary random and very tacky touches. They would have looked much better that way. When will they realize that height means nothing if the design looks like crap. I just hate this building and the other similar ones.

Perhaps, though in any city, even among luxury venues, the majority buildings are inconsequential in design. Manhattan has a boatload of red brick buildings; Shanghai and Singapore their share of luxury commie blocks.

If through these Dubai is inventing a new breed of colorful, glass-clad commie blocks, then that is a positive change. :)

"Najd" is more correct.

The confusion is because the word is written as N - J - D in Arabic (no vowels), and some people make up the vowels from themselves, so they add an extra A..etc. They might also incorrectly read it as Nujud or Najud.. Nejed. Put in their own vowel combinations.

It's the name of the northwestern province of Saudi Arabia, where the capital Riyadh is. It borders Jordan and Iraq.

I agree, and I don't think the Marina is the place for super talls. They will detract from the ambiance at the marina. I sat at the "Coffee Bean" the other day and admired the buildings on the opposite side. Their scale is just right. The super talls should be in Biz Bay, The Burj Downtown or SZR.

I don't like this one actually..those supertalls are not what i want to see in the Marina ... good until 250..but that's it...
And the design is soo uncreative, the roof feature looks nice...but the rest...

The scate park is not really on the free plot, it is further back from the road towards the open parking of the Marina Walk.

I can say that there is place not for one but for two towers.

don't think the grey areas are plots actually, too small for a tower base,...isn't one the skatepark?
in my opinion too small for too, should be happy if only one could be built there, as they marina is very close, and i am sure there must be a certain distance to the water, otherwise the ground couldn't stand such a huge tower i suppose...

well very near to marina crown we might see marina gardens, but thats it...

i contacted zetas civil engineering company for a height and they told me to contact the consultants, which is adnan saffarini

at least we now know who the architect is, but this company, although it has many huge projects, doesn't have a website or email :bash:

Somehow it seams that the only over 300m building under construction are Rose Rotana Suites and Burj Dubai.

nope, princess is going hell for leather with the piling and and Najd is getting equipment onto site.Ocean heights is a bit of a disapointment whith nothing hapening even though the hoarding and sign board is up.

there is no construction on princess tower plot at the mom, only some machines, but i guess they are for emirates crown actually.

^ The machines on the Princes Tower's site are of Middle East Foundation that is doing the piling work for that tower. SA Boy is right

5B= 5 basement floors
G = ground floor
3P = 3 parking floors
3H.C = health club?
70 = 70 normal floors
S.P = ?
2B.C = ?

i just noticed the 380m 23 marina is missing too

I left it out because it is right on the edge of the photo and you would only be able to see the base if anything. If the photo had panned a little more to the left I would certainly have included it.

Absolutely no work is going on, I spoke to a worker at the site and he told he him n his buds just sit around all day, they have no orders to do anything for almost a month now. Maybe because of poor unit sales? Alt Tab, SA Boy or butterfly might have some idea about how well this one is selling?

No point adding it until a core is starting to poke above ground. I think the diagram already has too many towers on it that don't seem to be going anywhere construction wise, spoils the simplicity of it. The comparisons between BD, SWFC and ICC are great and the essence of what this diagram is all about.

First impressions are extremely important. And it seems the first impression they want to portray to everyone is:-

"Hi, we are Tanmiyat, previously we were a small jewellery store, near Karama, one day our Boss was walking along Dubai Marina and saw all these lovely developments amd thought just for a laugh "I want a piece of that". So he swiftly went to the bank and got a loan, somehow blagging the Bank Manager into thinking that he was a Billionaire. He quickly bought the plot and now here is our proposition (as above). Please note, we tried to get our Boss's Arabic translated into English from a bureaux in Karama but they were going to charge us 20 Dhs, which we found very expensive. It seems that the site of Najd Tower (it was a very silly name anyway) has now been bought by the adjoining 'Le Reve' developer. I am told there will be a newly designed development of the standard of Le Reve, (that has been very successful) and is likely to have a 10 metre pool on the front terrace of every apartment!

That would add tremendous weight to the structure, but let's wait and see....

No idea about the design, but imagine it would be akin to the height of Le Reve. Flo, I think you may find that virtually everything has now been sold there.

This tower is no more, someone else bought land not sure if they building same tower or having a new design or what. So it's a bit in limbo land

Najid is not the name, the tower will be called ELITE, the launch will be done soon, the high is around 100 floors,all floor plans have been changed...price will start around AED 1500 per sqft. for more info contact me.

AED 1500 sqft......quite a bit more then Infinity at Launch Marina prices seam to be still steadily increasing on all new Launches.

Can't wait to see new render.

I wish Princess would copy Najd instead. Najds design is better, although both could be less repetetive floor-wise
