Here are some photos of the large town (Komopoli) of Kyparissia, which is in the Messinia Region of the Peloponesse in Greece. It has a population of about 10,000 and is on the Ionion Sea.
According to Omiros’s reference the town of Kyrarissia gave three ships for the Greek campaign against Tria (Troy). It was one of the nine towns which all together are framed as Nestora’s ninetown called “Kyparissiedas”. Pausanias referred an old legend which said that Dionisos switched with his stick on the coast and then bubbled up a source. Its name was “Dionisiada” and it is existed in the beach of Ai Lagoudi until our days and is full of water all year round.
It is nestled between the mountain (Egaleo) and the sea and gives off some magnificent views:
