There's a couple there i'm not sure of ever seen or heard of before.

1. Blackwood and Walker Streets (Blue between Highpoint, Green, and Sanctuary, LB)
2. Ok, Its Dimmey's Plaza
3. The Yellow area next to Quest as far as I know is the Ibis Hotel and that has been Approved.

That's all.

The CBD is gonna be a very different looking place in a few years!! :)
Gertzy, i haven't heard of anything planned for the site on Blackwood st either, but i sure hope there is, those old flats or whatever they are in that area look bloody terrible.

All I really know is that those flats are used by the Salvos, I've seen their signs up around that place. It might be like a new redevelopment or New set of Flats for the Salvation Army or Maybe It could be Pink but Oriolus probably made it Blue by Accident.
Possible Theories.

No, its blue all right - 22 apartments were approved for 300 Walker St in July - I'm pretty sure thats the location. There was some coverage of it in the media because TCC relaxed the number of carparks required. This website has a link to council minutes from July 13 - the approval is detailed starting on p27 (no talk of how high it is though):

New version of the map including start of a key. I changed Ibis Hotel to approved, and added a future development site between it and Quest (??). Also added the Australian Hotel as future what with Ramada going to build there - the Australian is heritage listed so they can't knock it down - either have to build behind the facade or on the vacant land fronting McIlwraith St.

That looks better. I reckon you should've put a Green Spot on the area between Newmarket Hotel and BCC Cinemas because that was a just completed Steakhouse.

^ Probably wouldn't count that? It's just a small extension/renovation of the current building.

Did the rest of the key - 44 sites in all but there's plenty of little developments around that I havn't got - all good for urban renewal.

Sothside Hardware development I thought was going to be at the old Southside Hardware on Boundary Street. But then nobody would want to buy an apartment there until the port access road is done.

I had a look at the approval notice at TCC today and I had the wrong location - it's actually on the eastern side of the Walker/Blackwood intersection (other side of Blackwood from were it is now). There were plans with it and it will be 5/6 storeys. Did I get a copy of the plans? At $62 a pop, no, no I did not.

Bump. I don't know if this map is still relevant today but maybe someone could update it if they wanted too and had the time? I just found it deep in the Regional Queensland forum.

Yeah i'd love to see this too actually. Maybe a sticky thread catering for maps of all major regional centres in Queensland incl. Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton... Toowoomba if we can find a forumer prepared to do a map?

Happy to do one if requested (for Mackay of course)...

^^ It looks good Sean and good job but it needs to be a little bit more accurate, a couple of sites are larger than what they really are, and Verde needs to be fronting Flinders Street :).
