After seeing the new hmv.ninemsn.com.au site, which sells legal MP3s of about 350,000 songs, I am disgusted.

If you would like to download an entire album, it will set you back $19.99. For about $1 extra, you can buy the real thing from a Big W or K-Mart.

Single tracks cost $1.89, which is OK I guess if you just after one or two songs- but even still are you going to download a CD full (15-20 songs) for the cost of $30 or $40?

These people must take us for idiots. It has all the negatives of pirating music with the cost of purchasing CDs.

I for one will not be using this site.

Does Kaaza even exist anymore? It's been a while since I've seen it.

yes Kazaa exists. Today was day 3 of the trial between Kazaa's owner - Sharman Networks - and ARIA as represented by the record labels themselves for alleged copyright infringement. So Kazaa mightn't be around that much longer though...

Yeah it still exists. Apparently shareman is been sued right now.
