These articles rock my world :) I love NYC of the 30's and of course NYC of nowadays too. :)
But those "cathedrals" of the past were amazing.
Is there someone here who also suffered of the fact that Singer Building was demolished? Sometimes when I look at old pics of NYC I simply want to cry!

Yes, I saw the replacement in 2003, heartbreaking.

One thing I thought was cool was that 40 Wall's pinnicle was orignially going to be glass. It would have been an interesting feature if they hadn't replaced the glass with copper.

Anyone really interested in this? I was thinking about adding more stuff thursday and/or saturday, but it takes some effort to format the articles, so if no one cares I'll forget it.
