I've heard a great deal of Pudong and seen TONS of pictures... I really like the skyline and how its so futuristic... everybody seems to think this way to. But what I really want to know- especially if you live in Shanghai, is your opinions of Pudong...

What I mean is that it looks like an empty business park compared to Puxi. Puxi seems to have so much more to offer and seems WAY more interesting from the pictures seen at street level...

Could someone please post some Pudong street scenes here to maybe agree with it being boring or prove this thread wrong? I'd really like to see what Pudong looks like from a street level point of view instead of the popular "skyline" look.

Pictures of Lujiazui district in Pudong. These were taken by yours truly.

Generally, aside from Lujiazui and one or two other commercial disctricts in Pudong, it's mostly residential. Everything in Pudong is new and well-organized and lacks this "spark" that Puxi has. It's hard to explain but when I go to Puxi, I automatically get excited, when I'm in Pudong, it's like "wow, cool city." but that's it.

xujiahui is in puxi...But yeah, pudong is a bit more artificial. Its only around 10-15 yrs old, which is bloody amazing, so it lacks the charactor of puxi

Oops, I meant Lujiazui, not Xujiahui. I always get these two names confused. :-P

Yes, also Pudong is better planned and oragnized with its wide straight streets.
