This is Kumrovec in Croatia. Ethno village. Also famous because Tito was born there.

Inspired by Wickies thread.

What's so "ethno" about it? I looks like any other run of the mill village.

It is called historical old village Kumrovec because it is very old and Tito was born there. Its different because you can enter houses and see how people lived 100 years ago.

I agree, Tito was a dictator and a contradiction to what a communist was supposed to be. The man was an extravaggant pig that did nothing more than indulge himself at everyones expense. He persecuted his own Croats which is why so many left during his regime. Nice village BTW, pity that such a piece of turd like Tito was born there.

Ja ga ne volim kao ni bilo kojeg drugog autokrata – Franju Josipa I, Aleksandra Karađorđevića, Antu Pavelića... da nabrojim samo "naše" autokrate...

"Kumrovec" doesn't mean anything, but I guess this word has origin in "kum" what means "goodfather" in Croatian.
