View Full Version : What you love and hate about your city?
Istanbullu December 19th, 2004, 07:44 PM Let's talk about it.
My city: Istanbul
I love Istanbul because it's one of the most beautiful cities of the world and it makes you feel this in every way. I love it because i love the view of bosphorous. I love to be get lost between all those different people at Istiklal Street. I love it because it gives me the chance to sample alot of other great cities like: San Francisco, Rome, Paris, New York, Sydney. I love it because the city is getting better every day and you can feel it! I love it because i was born here! :)
I hate it sometimes because i hate to get stuck at the traffic sometimes. It can be really annoying when your trying to go to asian side using the first bridge at friday evening! I hate it when i move outside the city and see areas like Sultanbeyli and İkitelli. I hate it when i see the taxi drivers driving their cars without respecting other drivers.
Ok that's it!
What's yours? :)
Allan December 19th, 2004, 07:55 PM Things that I don't like most:
Traffic, high population, immigration, poor plan in some areas, poor preservation of the historical buildings, gecekondus.
Things that I like most:
Bosphorus, bridges, nice architecture, museums, skyscrapers, mansions along the bosphorus, its history, its setting......and many more.

In Canada,
Our Governor_Genaral is a Chinese lady (Chinese decendant) for example.
Many Chinese people are very active in society too. You see Chinese communities all over the world. The idea that China is taking over the control of the world trade, scrares me, I don't know.

No need to think like this! This is the point of view of Westerns and reminded me what they think about us. Chinese people can't leave their country without permission. I invited a Chinese to Turkey, and this friend couldn't come here. Also I have never seen any Chinese except Chinese restaurant in Istanbul. And don't forget that Turkey invites Chinese people, but they don't come.
Allan January 19th, 2005, 11:21 PM May be you are right, I should not have commented like this. But I like the Chinese architecture and Chinese food as well :okay:
Monkey January 19th, 2005, 11:27 PM i'm scares from arab communitie that taking over the control of the world:(

Tekir January 20th, 2005, 02:02 AM Zohar dude, opposite is also being yelled everywhere. :D
I see guys with mental illnesses in Turkey who are yelling " Israelites control the world, USA attacks islam because IOsrael forces them to do so, etc..."
come on mate, noone is taking control of anywhere, and islam countries are the last dudes in the world to take control, if a world control can ever happen...
Losers are losing because they are losers, winners are winner because they are winners, that' s it. No country is responsible for others poverty, backwardness, etc...
Monkey January 20th, 2005, 09:28 PM jews (not israelies) maybe control in world's economic and in USA economic(33% of rich people in USA are jews) but arabs control by number of population like chinese!!!
Tekir January 21st, 2005, 02:44 AM jews (not israelies) maybe control in world's economic and in USA economic(33% of rich people in USA are jews) but arabs control by number of population like chinese!!!
Jews are not the only one who are controlling the world economics. They are one of the richest group of people who control the world economics. There are many players in this game. Germans, French, Americans, Japanese, Chinese, etc...
what about arabs? arabs are the best, islam rulezzzzzz. :D
Come on dude, you can not compare a giant with a midget. arabs might be crowded so as Bangladesh, that is not important. China is a hard working country. On the contrary their huge population is a headache for chinese people. THey try to decrease it. The biggest advantage of Chinese is, they are hard working. arabs know only sleeping in mosques in the day times...
Urban Girl January 21st, 2005, 03:10 PM camileri her işin içine karıştırmasan olmuyormu Tekir. bende Arapları hiç sevmiyorum. ama sen bütün müslümanları genelliyorsun.!!
