When it was built in '60s/'70s they were social housing for lower class

Now the owner (Aler: regional institute for social housing) sold most of 'em to the ones who occupied it: quite everybody who once needed a social house are now able to buy one; so it changed from a low class borough to a low middle-class one... but many inhabitants are the same ones (and so are the buildings, obviously)

Working class and lower middle class I'd say.

For more than 20 years they were flats for poor families that were unable to buy their own house.
In the last 5-10 years some people started to buy some of these flats and so the mean economic condition has increased a little (the prices were good with respect to the new buildings in Milano that have minimum prices around 4000 euro sqm).
However it is still an area were a lot of old poor people and immigrants live.

Time to bring back this thread to life
