Rate our 'Proposals' Thread/Board?

Just a thought really..

I doubt there is a city in the world that hasn't had a building proposal that hasn't gone ahead, I know the UK's cities have had a good few (some world class looking buildings) rejected or just been pipe-dreams. Due to this, its unlikely that we will share the renderings and info about them to each other on the World Forums.

Therefore I thought, as we have rate our talls/skylines/architecture that maybe we could introduce the rate our proposals (Im unaware if this has been mentioned/suggested before, apologies if so).. I think it would be a great idea to show each other how our own cities and countries are developing their ideas and architecture into the 21st century. We could create a nice concise board of proposals of all scales, heights and purposes to let other people judge them etc..

Hope to leave that idea with the admins, lol..

I like it but it will be a pretty big section, with all the fantasy and cancelled and never builts, and it be hard to keep track of them all, as well as some validity of the project.
Maybe there should be a set of rules on what kind of Never Builts are allowed.
Otherwise, I think it's a good idea

I think it's a great idea. It would indeed be a massive section!

I would suggest splitting it into subsections, based on each continent. Also: you'd have to make sure that only "official" proposals were allowed, i.e. not forumers' own made-up inventions!

And this might sound obvious but there would have to be official renderings available for people to see and rate the buildings. If no renderings were available for a particular proposal, it should be disqualified from the ratings, and the thread locked/deleted.

Well, I agree with what you say, we can't just have fantasy buildings.. but a place to showcase official buildings/projects seemed like a good (even if mountainous) idea at the time. Yes seperating them into the same as the rate our talls is (without the top 300.. because thats too much hassle).. It would probably ease posting in the main world forums, as people post new projects on there a lot, so would house them better.. anyway, glad its got some interest - let peeps ponder of it a bit longer..
