cbd, definetly, more history, more transit, a hell of a lot more pedestrian friendly, better buildings, and over all more urban... cbd district for sure, tho not as "pretty" as brickell, cause its in pretty bad shape, give it a few years

downtown is a better urban, walking environment. It will continue to get better and better, and hopefully cleaner.

Both are amazing areas, but Brickell is turning more and more to a wannabe Manhattan, while downtown still seems to keep its identity alive. And no building can't beat the Wachovia and Bank of America Towers. So downtown wins the battle.

Brickell is nice place to work...the second largest banking city in the USA...I'm voting for the CBD though...nice buildings, a good kind of dirty, the 24 hour entertainment district, and of course, that nice little executive luncheon place on 11th Street near Miami Avenue. mmmmmmmmm....downtown.........

while comparing these you have to say well brickell-south pointe is the grown rich brother while downtown-uptown is the area with potential but will it ever by able to surpass brickell
