wow...Thanks alot Pan, you got some really great shots, I hope you've posted these elsewhere as well (if not, can I?). Orlando is oh-so-charming... downtown has soo much potential, I can't wait for the new boom to flood the area with shops and people and stuff.

also can someone tell me, what is that building that looks to be in the middle of its construction phase, and what is the one that's just getting started?:)

You're welcome. I posted these at fototeka which is at Eastern European forum ( that's where I'm from ) and nowhere else. If you want to, you can use these images at will, I don't mind. I really liked the city as well.

Concerning the construction, there is a nice "Orlando development thread" up here, it's a sticky, and I'm sure these constructions are mentioned.

The Lake is the Key

Great pics, Orlando's downtown and Fort Lauderdale's have a lot in common, as far as the modern look goes.

The first building, shown under construction, is the 12 story CNL office tower. The second is The Plaza development, which will have towers of 12, 17 & 26 stories.

It was raining two weeks ago

It did not rain once between December 20-27.

It did on the 27th a tad, but like the day after their was terrible flooding from non-stop rain

The city itself has nothing to do with theme parks. There are hardly any people walking around the city, even downtown. I didn't get this impression at all.

But themeparks are crowded, I agree. I went to Universal Studios and it was pretty crowded, but interesting. I'll show a photo-report from there soon.

I personally prefer the winter months, annual passes, and going to Epcot or whatever at my leisure and not even breaking a sweat. ahhhhhh....
