We used to be able to see which members are logged on. What happened to that feature?

Yes, we need to know how much capacity these extra's take which aren't needed to have a discussion so we can estimate how much we need in the future.

damn lol. this whole time ive been wondering what was going on.

I liked that feature! if anything take away the birthday calender or somehting lol.

yeah i liked that thing also, but if it helps the forum run smoother i guess its all good.

Yeah, I turned it off for the busier it gets here, the more queries it takes to create that list, and the more data needs to be send. Turning it off actually made a significant difference in both server performance and bandwidth so untill we get a server farm, I intend to turn it off. Not needed to have a good discussion anyway.

Too bad! I liked the "who's on line" show, but so be it. As you observe, the discussion continues anyway. :okay: And at least the green lights are still shining! :)

Other features that the forum might be able to dispense with:

email, already disabled although still listed as an (obviously unavailable) option;

the group stuff, likewise unused yet shown in every forumer's profile.


Haha, are we really getting ready for a server farm? :cool:

Thats same thing but not on the main page. Was it really that bad having it on the main page. You could just add the link in, from where it had been befour. If you get me.
